Diagnosed with esotropia, I got a free consultation for vision therapy, and am curious about any alternatives.?
Measured at 10 eso 0 is the median , my eyes are unable to converge or diverge well, if at all, to work together stabilizing a single image. My focusing, saccading, tracking, and visual memory are all very high, as they are the eyes working independently processing information however, I'm prone to fatigue and eye strain now in my adulthood.The price I was quoted for therapy was $4500, and my health and vision insurance do not cover treatment for surgery or orthoptics.Are there any in home treatments, computer software, eye exercises that I might be able to do independently, to achieve like or same results?Please and thank you
What is the average cost of vision therapy?
I'm an adult considering vision therapy for a mild inward deviation in my eyes when alternating dominance, thus causing binocular vision or diplopia double vision . It is unlikely that it will be covered by my vision insurance, so I'm wondering what and how much does the cost of this vision therapy can range from, or has cost those of you that have had it in the past.My goal is to have greater visual acuity in intense focus and aiming sports, i.e., bow hunting, pistol shooting, and billiard games. Currently when focusing with my dominant eye, my left eye turns inward across and past my aiming point. Especially if I am using the tops of my eyes.Thank you everyone
Does vision therapy work and does it fix lazy eye?
i was wondering cuz i had lazy eye strabismus and both my eyes were so far out that i couldn't see i got the surgery,and fixed it,then my glasses broke and now it seems like it coming back,so is vision therapy cheaper than surgery,and how long does it take,oh and if i get the glasses for strabismus,i was wondering do those glasses make your eyes straight when u where them,cuz my sister said when i was a little kid before my surgery,when i put my glasses on it fixed my eyes weren't lazy but when i took them off they were,so do the glasses actually fix it when u wear them

i heard it crack and then i was like wow i never heard felt it crack that hard..i think i was looking randomly down leftward and thats what made them crack..so, i just slept and thought whatever..its a crack..but when i started takin pics if looked like my right eye started to turn in..thats whats so weird because i made my sis do the same thing to seeif it craked or turned it from her and it didnt...well anyways im going to the optomologist on sat. and im scared he tells me ur vision is still prefect and it is its not like i see double or anything...whats ur opinion on this?

I need my eye corrected from strain.No doctor around here will correct it.My right eye is showin more white I dont like the way it looks and I want it fixed.But all 3 doctors I know want fix it tell me not to worry about it.I dont like the way it looks or feels.And its ruin my self esteem and its been like that since august and I lost 20 pounds and stopped wearing makeup.I hate the way it looks.Nobody wants to correct strained eye.They want me suffer in mysery.I have heard of vision therapy in some states but people around here claims they havent.thats to help strained eye without surgery.But noone wants to do surgery either.I wish you all could see before pic and after you'll see why im so upset.

I am having trouble locating someone who offers it.. so far i has seen an opthemologist and the only suggestion has been surgery for $3000 and it might not even work i think i would rather something we can work on slowly and pay a bit more and not have my princess under anesthetic etc. so any suggestions are VERY welcome... also anyone who has had success or failure with vision therapy please let me know of your experiences, so i can make an informed decision
Vision therapy?
I have strabismus and I'm in my early 20's. I had crossed eyes as a baby and had surgery and eye patches at 1y o. Then I wore glasses til high school. My eyes aren't aligned don't work move together. Looking in a mirror head on, I can see one eye looking straight and the one turned outward to away from my nose . Of course however I CAN and DO control these movements. It doesn't just drift on its own. They just don't work together is all. However... it's wierd, b c in pictures or videos my eyes look perfectly normal...aligned and all. And when I look in a mirror if it's on either SIDE of me, and looking at it, I can see my BOTH eyes are looking in the same direction at the mirror. It's hard to explain, make sense?Could it be my eyes aren't THAT abnormal and weird looking as I think? This one guy I knew in HS told me he didn't even notice my eye condition until we were in college together...wow Anyway, where do I go for vision therapy? How much does it cost?
