Trial Contact Lenses

How long should I give trial contact lenses?
before deciding whether it is the right brand for me or not adn moving to the next?And is it common to be given a different brand for each eye? My left eye, which has an astigmatism I was given Bausch and Lomb this time. It is really uncomfortable and not very clear at all. For my right, Acuvue Advance which I love already btw after just an hours wearing.

My doctor gave me trial contact lenses, how long do they last for?

Ok, I already got a prescription a few months ago for contacts and now that I have them I realize that they really aren't as comfortable as some others that I tried. I really liked the first ones that I tried, super comfortable all day, but the next day when I tried to wear them and washing and soaking, they made my eyes burn. I would really like to retry these ones but I don't know if that is something they let you do. And any ideas on why it made my eyes burn and how to fix that cuz they were WAY more comfortable than the ones I have now.Thanks

Does the optometrist tell you what brand of trial contact lenses he is givng you?
My optometrist did not I forgot to ask him too And never even showed me the box. The optometrist is pretty reputed though.

Will I be able to get trial contact lenses the day of my fitting appointment?
I am getting contacts soon, and I was wondering if I get trial lenses the day of the fitting appointment. If I do get trial lenses, what do I do with them? Do I throw them away afterward? How does this work?

I got makeup on my NEW trial contact lenses?
The eyeliner smudged off and a piece of it got in. I took the contacts out, but the makeup won't come off and I don't want to tear the lense. Is there a way to get the makeup off?

When my eye doctor gives me trial contact lenses does he have to pay for them? Or does the manufacturer provide these free to the eye doctor?

Does your optometrist charge you $20 for shipping he says to try a different brand of " free trial" contacts? I'm not sure if he's just trying to make a quick buck, or if he must pay shipping charges from Accuvue or Bausche & Lomb.

A week ago I had an eye exam and the doc said he wouldn't change anything except the strenght of one lens. So he was supposed to order new lenses for me but instead of that today I receive a pack of, as he says, " test lenses" to try out and see if they fit. The diameter of one is smaller than the other and that is the only difference. Two questions the pack did not come sealed and I have to return them in a week did somebody else also try out these lenses or what??? and why do I have to try out these lenses when I have the same ones and they fit perfectly??It's a new doctor, I've seen him for the first time now and now I really don't trust him. The pack I got was definitelly not the original pack, it has a secondary package saying 'first contact lenses', packed in a preserving fluid already not the case with the original packaging .

so ive tried to wear a lot of different types of contacts and my eyes r still dryi think i wuld do better w acuvue oasys..if my eyes rnt allergic to anythingbut my current eye dr. doesnt prescribe this type and he doesnt have anycan i go to another eye store w e u call it and get a free trial pair if i have my eye prescription and a free trial certificate that i printed from acuvue.com?do i have to pay any fees?i can put contacts in and out fine...
