Toric Contact Lenses

Do I really need toric contact lenses? HELP ME PLEASE**?
Right Eye BC 8.8 PWR 2 25x 0.75x010 DIAM 14.4Left Eye BC 8.8 PWR 2 50x 0.75x180 DIAM 14.4 They're so freaking expensive, do I really need to buy toric lenses or can I continue using regular contacts. I sometimes have a hard time focusing on small things and I see them blurry and I told this to my doctor so he said it's because you have astigmatism, and you'll have to wear toric contactsBUT my previous doctor told me that since I don't have a lot of astigmatism it wasn't necessary to wear toric lensesWHAT SHOULD I DO?? I also have a glasses prescriptionit says Right Eye SPHERE 2.25 CYLINDER 1.00 AXIS 010Left Eye SPHERE 2.50 CYLINDER .75 AXIS 180 and then it says distance FAR 64I've been wearing regular contacts for years now and I don't seem to have a problem what do you think?Ok Thanks You rock I'll definitely give you BA

Monovision toric contact lenses on trial - wrong way round?
I have been given monovision contact lenses to trial but have noticed that the lens for didstance is not in my dominent eye which I thought it should of been. Has the optician made a mistake or does this sometimes happen. I am right handed but my dominent eye is my left.

What are toric contact lenses ?
My left eye needs a toric contact lens,, what are they ?

Which are the best toric contact lenses in your opinion?
In terms of brands, what are the ones you've tried? I have tried Ciba Vision, Biomedics and Coopervision Proclear. ALL OF THEM rotate out of focus giving me massive headaches. I cannot return to glasses, I've been wearing lenses for 5 years but it seems that none of them is stable enough. Sometimes I have days with perfect vision, other times they rotate out of focus every 2 mins, which is highly irritating. I know other people with astigmatism that require toric lenses, yet do not have the problems I have. It is the most annoying thing I have ever experienced.

Does anyone know about front surface toric contact lenses?
Ages ago I was told my astigmatism was the rare kind and that I needed front surface toric lenses. Is this much different from the normal back surface toric lenses? My cyl is 1.25 so not massive, could I get away with back surface ones??

Are toric contact lenses meant to be uncomfortable?
Because mine are. I have a 0.75 cyclindrical error in one eye. Not sure of the axis error. So the doc said we can try toric but toric feels blurry to me. Like on some ocassions i cannot see clearly unless i frwquntly blink and then the problem is ok for a couple of hours and then recurs.any recommended brand type for torics? or should i switch away from torics and go for the regular ones?

i just got my toric lenses 4 days ago so im just testing it out for this week. my doctor said its supposed to correct my asstigmatism or something but i dont know. on the second day, i put them on and for some reason my right eye was blurry. i took them out, cleaned them, but still it was blurry so i just wore them for the day. On the third day, my left eye got blurry. today, when i put them on i am supposed to keep them on for 8 hours today both my eyes were blurry and so i saw much better without them. i tried to clean them more and put them on, but there was no difference. can anyone tell me why this is happening??? the first day i got these toric lenses i had perfect vision. i also dont know how to wear them there are like 3 lines one on top and 2 on the sides. i dont know how to wear them. please helppppp me

Can people with astigmatism wear non-toric contact lenses?
I've been looking into special effect contact lenses with my grade in them. Unfortunately, there are no toric versions available I have astigmatism so I was wondering if it was fine if I got colored lenses anyway, with my grade. I''ll be going to my eye doctor soon anyways to ask if he'd recommend it if it's safe for my eyes, but I want to know from a general view.

Blurry vision with toric contact lenses?
so i just got new contacts 2 days ago and i can see things clearly but then randomly my vision will blur. also when i try to read things its blurry and i can't see as far away.is this normal at first or should i get refitted?

Hi I'm thinking about trying out contact lenses instead of glasses, but I have an astigmatism so I need toric lenses. Does anybody know if I can get coloured or tinted toric lenses and where from? Do you have any links? I live in the UK.Would anybody recommend any websites or opticians in the UK?
