Toric Contact Lens

What is the most rotationally stable soft toric contact lens?
This is my spectacle prescription OD 1.5 dcyl axis 180OS 1.5 dcyl axis 180So obviously I only have astigmatism and rotational stability is of greatest importance. I don't have dry eyes or other problems and I don't think comfort is an issue I had been wearing RGPs for 10 years with relative success .I know different brands of lenses suit different people, but surely there must be a brand which is known for it's rotational stability.Which one is it?? hopefully some of the newer silicone hydrogels My doc gave me focus torics, but they rotate too much. The astigmatism is corneal I had been wearing plano RGPs before . Surely there must be a soft toric that is famous for its stability which I could recommend to my doctor. You must have had expirience with both stable and unstable torics. Aren't there some brands that stand out from the rest concerning rotational stability?

Would B&L purevision toric contact lens and Acuvue oasys toric contact lens be suitable for dry eyes?


I have an astigmatism and wear a toric contact lens, which is unconfortable. Can I just wear a spherical lens?
I have worn contacts for a few months now, and this is my second time finding a toric lens frustrating and uncomfortable compared with my other eye which is spherical. At the place where I buy contacts, it was suggested that I try wearing a spherical in my eye with an astigmatism, because I probably wouldn't notice a difference. Is it alright or a good idea to wear a spherical lens in an eye that isn't shaped for it? Or I should I keep my much less comfortable toric lens for it? I dont know if astigmatisms get worse over time and then could just be temporary, any advice would be helpfulthanks

Any opticians? Wear non toric contact lens and adjust sph to compensate for astigmatism?
I just had an eye test for new glasses today but I also wear contact lenses. My new prescription shows I have astigmatism in my left eye Sphere 3.00, cylinder .75 and axis 175. My optician said that it was borderline on needing to wear a toric contact lens but I would probably still be ok with the normal ones I've been wearing if they felt ok etc. I usually order my lenses online and then have them checked for fit. If I want to order just normal lenses not toric do I just order 3.00? I read somewhere about changing this number slightly to make up for astigmatism?Thanks

Can you wear toric contact lens if you have very narrow eyes?
I have astigmatism and would like to wear contacts, but my doctor said my eyes were too narrow for toric lens. Is this true or are there alternatives other than glasses?

Purevision toric contact lens? CAN'T FIND MY BASE CURVE?
i've been looking EVERYWHERE online since, to me its way cheaper than going to an actual eye care store. P and im on a tight budget and such. So I can find pure vision toric lenses BUT their basecurve is ALL 8.7 i can't find ANY with 8.6?i really perfer online since for my contacts its almost 300 dollars just for six months > .< PUREVISION TORIChelppppp? please?thx... i have had trail pairs and they fit perfectly 8.6

Toric contact lens problem?
I want to buy toric contacts, and my cylinder is 1.00. There are no contacts with 1.00 cylinder, so should I buy 0.75 or 1.25??

Progressive Toric contact lens?
I'm over 45 and having trouble reading & doing bills. I've had mixed reviews about the progressive lens and would like to hear your story about the brand you tried, how long b4 you got use to them. Did they stay on your eyes or did you find them floating around? Thanks

My mom got a box of Equtic or something contact solution I was sick , but the bottle says use for soft lenses. Is it ok for use with my toric lenses? I just got my contacts yesterday and have no idea about any of this. Help appreciated. Thanks

Toric contact lens: what if my axis is different?
For cyl lenses, 1.75 , I have an axis of 135. However they only have 90 and 180 available...Does it make a difference? And if not, which one should I get?Another question is If I only use contact lens in one eye the other has astigmatism , will the other eye get worse? " lazy eye" kind of effect?

Are they easy to use, care for, and put into your eye? Can you fall asleep in them and not be at risk of hurting your eyes?

What is the lifetime of Bausch and Lomb Optima toric Contact lens?
I have astigmatism and opting for toric contact lenses. However I can't afford those lenses which have a lifetime of two weeks or a month. I want decent quality contact lenses that will last me for a year. Bausch and Lomb has Optima toric Contact lens brand. Does anybody know the lifetime of the lens i.e., when I have to change the lens?
