Having a lot of trouble removing soft contact lenses?
I just got contacts today. The optometrist put them in for me at first, and then had me take them out and put them back in. It took me a little bit, but I eventually got them out. Putting them back in was much easier. Now it's been the 4 6 hours I'm allowed and I tried taking them out, and I just can't. I tried for an hour and gave up. I was recommended to use the slide and pinch technique. I just can't seem to get it to slide at all, and I'm blinking a lot. Any suggestions? They don't feel dry or itchy yet. When should I be concerned that I can't get them out? What should I do if I can't?

Will I loose my sight if I wear soft contact lenses?
I heard that people may loose their sight while wearing soft contact lenses. Is it true if yes Can you tell me how many people in % lost their sight because of soft contact lenses? And how they looses their sight because of bad caring? Is a very small mistake can make soft contacts users loose their sight?

If I don't wear my monthly soft contact lenses every day, do they still expire after one month?
Do soft monthly contact lenses 'expire' or lose their usefulness when the month is up even though i don't wear them all the time? Or does this 'month' refer to 30 days of wearing them?

Removing visible protein deposits from soft contact lenses?
Basically, I'm on my last pair of contact lenses, I do not have money at the moment to go get a vision test and or get more contacts. Visible bu mps spots have begun appearing in one of the contacts which I believe are protein deposits. These make wearing the contacts pretty uncomfortable so, I'm wondering if there is anything I could use to get rid of these deposits. Regular contact solution won't do. Clear Care didn't either. I read an article that suggested vinegar I believe, but it didn't specify if it was for soft contact lenses and I believe it also mentioned it was for 'calcium' deposits. Anyways, I wouldn't risk ruining my last pair of contacts as I can't see without them. I do not own a pair of glasses. Any ideas on how to get rid of those deposits? Thanks... Footprintz, could you suggest some of these sites? Thank you for your answer.

How can I get my soft contact lenses out?
I just put in my soft contact in my right eye around 30 minutes ago and after I put it in, my vision was still blurry. So I decided to take it out and put it back on. But I couldn't take it out and my eye became irritated really fast and hurts a lot. I tried rewetting drops, but it didn't work. When I tried to move the contact, it kind of bulges inward towards the eye as if there's a patch of air or whatever in between the eye and that contact. I can't get to a eye doctor right now so please let me know if you have any ideas. Thanks

Can soft contact lenses scratch your cornea?

What toric soft contact lenses offer the best vision quality?
I'm getting ready to get soft contact lenses. I have astigmatism. I've tried contacts before and was most impressed by PureVision Toric's clarity over previous lenses that were especially hard to keep straight on the eye. I understand that some contacts are optimized most for comfort, such as being thinner, wetter, and thus sacrifice a little on features to improve vision. I'm not really worried about the comfort level too much, or the price. So then if my absolute top priority was to have the best possible vision, even if the difference was more from a technical perspective, which are considered the most advanced today? A few contenders might be Biofinity Toric, Purevision for Astigmatism, and Proclear Toric.I'm not interested in hard contact lenses because those definitely push the limits on what I can take for comfort.

How to get soft contact lenses out?
I have a blinking problem when it comes to things getting close to my eye. So i'm wondering how can I get my soft contacts lenses out without touching my eye?

I have soft contact lenses. ?
Yes they are prescription but they are recomended 14 hours of wear. But today i plan on sleeping in them. I probably have wore them for no more than 11 hours. Whats something that can happen if i wear them past 14 hours and sleep in them? I ALSO PUT SOME EYE DROPS THAT WILL REMOISTEN MY CONTACTS FOR LONGER WEAR. Will that help?

Can i wear soft contact lenses to ice skating?
Like can i wear lenses in places with negative degree? Really cold places DI don't want my contacts to get too dry and get stuck on my eyeballs. Or even worst, crack inside my eyes. Some people told me that it's fine to wear them in cold places, but is it true?

Is it safe to use saline solution with soft contact lenses?
I bought a Bausch & Lomb saline solution and on the box it says to never use saline for soft contact lens disinfection...Why?And since I have soft contacts, what's the best solution for it? I also have astigmatism if that helpsOkay so with this product that I have, will I have to get a disinfectant as well?Which one do you guys recommend?

What is the longest you can leave soft contact lenses in your eye for?
I've left them in for 16 18 hours at a stretch countless times. But on Thursday I'm going to Portland, Oregon for the weekend I'm leaving out of Pittsburgh . My flight leaves at 7 20 AM, which means I need to leave for the airport at 5 30 AM. Everyone will be partying that night in Portland, so it is likely that I will not get back to my brother's place until 3 AM. Since this is 6 AM eastern time, my contacts will have been in for almost 25 hours. Is that ok?Is it possible to sleep on the plane with contacts in? If I do this, can I leave them in the rest of the day? What if, for example, someone were to pull an all nighter. Can they leave it in if they stay awake?

Getting used to soft contact lenses?
I'm 15 and a week ago I have been given soft contact lenses, I have astigmatism in my left eye, this eye seems to be taking longer than my other eye to get used to the contact lense, it just seems to be a bit more blurry than the other,.. I was wondering if this is because of the stigmatism and is something that overtime my eye will get used to?

Soft contact lenses ?
I have just switched over to soft contacts and they are hard to take out I have been in them for about a month and it is not any easier. I once saw a device that you put on your eyes that sucked out your contacts. Do you know if you can get that or what it's called?
