Pediatric Opthamologist

I am looking for the best pediatric opthamologist in Texas?
My grandaughter at age 4 was just told by a very good adult opthamologist, that she is severly farsighted. All she sees up close is fuzzy images. We want to take her to a pediatrac specialist.True. We live close to the Dallas Ft. Worth area, but are willing to travel. My daughter is asking today for a referrel. I just wanted some names from people.

What are pediatric opthamologist appointments like?
My 17 month old son is about to visit a pediatric ophtamologist. He has his eyes crossed a lot and my pediatrician referred him to one. His father has severe visual impairments and is legally blind without glasses. His father also has extra problems because his eyeballs are misshapen. Without glasses, all he sees is light and dark. I'm worried for my son's eyes now. Anyway, will the appointment be scary for my son? Will it hurt him or be uncomfortable? By the way, the reason I have this question listed twice is because nobody read this from the Optical section.
