I have an astigmatisim and my prescription is as followssph 50 cyl 25 axis 180 my question is, when I am ordering the lenses, my choices are in decimals. would the sph be 5.0 or .50 the same with the cyl and no need to explain axis

Question about ordering contact lenses?
I just got my prescription today and I'm trying to order some lenses but I'm kind of confused. The cylinder for my right eye is 1.25 but for my left its 1.00. But I'm not seeing an option anywhere on any brand of contacts for 1.00. So should I go under or over or what?They told me this was my contact prescription next to it it says AV Oasis Astig. that was the brand I went to first but I didn't see the option. And I did ask if I could order them online and my doctor told me it was fine as long as I got everything right. My whole prescription is OD Sphere 2.25 Cyl 1.25 Axis 180OS Sphere 2.00 Cyl 1.00 Axis 170BC 8.60DIA 14.50And yes this is a valid prescription...Nevermind...apparently the woman writing the prescription messed up. This isn't the first time that place has made a mistake.

does ordering from the dr mean a deal bc they order so much from their supplier for their patients that they get a discount? im curious bc i had an appointment and the dr told me to call them the next day so they could reorder my new contacts for me. i already wear contacts and my dr knows this. i usually buy them online as do most people. im assuming since drs keep telling their patients to order from them, maybe they offer special discounts. do you know?

I need to buy contacts but I don't have health insurance anymore, and my prescription is over a year old, so the doctor won't verify it. Is there any site that doesn't ask for your doctor's information?

So I used to use Bausch and Lomb's SoftLens 66 Toric with a 2.75 cylinder, and I want to try PureVision because SoftLens are uncomfortable for me, but they only come in 2.25, 1.75, 1.25 and 0.75 . What should I do?

Ordering contact lenses with an astigmatism?
i just went to the eye doctors the other day and i have just found out that i have an astigmatism. i was planning on getting a pair of circle lenses color contacts that are slightly bigger then the iris of your eye to make your eyes look bigger but i dont know if i can order them anymore. ive heard that you can get some for asigmatisms but they dont come in a lot of colors but ive also heard that if tastigmatismism is juslightigh that you can just get regular ones. my prescription is right eye 1.75left eye 2.00 CYL 0.50 AXIS 171 does that mean i have a slight astigmatism. if so, should i just get regular circle lenses. thank you for any answers

Can I order contact lenses online using a prescription for another brand of contacts?
I'd like to order continuous wear contacts online. These are the king that only need to be removed once a month and then immediately disposed of. I've been buying contacts from my eye doctor what a rip off that I need to soak in solution overnight. Will I need to get an entirely new eye exam in order to buy continuous wear contacts or is the valid eye exam and prescription I have now good?

If you already know your eye powers, can you just enter that information on the website and get them sent to you?Or do you need a specific doctor signature?If you do, how do they get that and how would they know if it is a real doctor?Also, would this prescription let you order more things from the website without giving them another prescription?Thanks

Where can i order contact lenses without going to an eye doctor for a checkup?
I have not had an eye exam in a couple years and do not intend to. My vision has stayed the same for years, so i just want to order contacts without wasting money on an eye exam. And please do not say 1800contacts as they will not send me lenses without having had an exam in the past year. I have tried to order through them several times with no successAnd for everyone giving me advice that i need to go to the eye doctor, please stop i am not interested in going, have NO INSURANCE and not looking to WASTE 80 bucks when my script has not changed in years....please just tell me a place to order them online without a prescription....Not trying to be rude, but i do not need medical advice, just a place to order contact lenses WITHOUT a recent visit to an eye doctor
