so that you can shop elsewhere? It hadn't occurred to me last time I got glasses was 10 years ago that I could have demanded it... but was it his responsibility to offer.

Can doctor's diagnose and treat pink eye, or can opthamologists only do that?
I think I have pink eye, can I go to my family doctor for a diagnosis and treatment or only to an opthamologist? I live in Ontario Canada and opthamologists aren't covered anymore, that's why I'm wondering.

Lifting weights after ptosis surgery, opthamologists only please?
I had ptosis surgery on my left eye about 3 weeks ago and I already had a post op appointment with the doctor 2 weeks ago and he said that I could continue my daily activities already, except for swimming for a while. But I forgot to ask him when I could start lifting weights again and my next appointment with him isn't until july so I was wondering when I could start working out again srry about the spelling, but I'm not asking people to correct it just trying to get an answer from a professional, not a douche that wants to google it and send me a million links

I may be getting a job at an opthamologists office and I was wondering what they duties are. I am trianed to work in a medical office and I wanted to find out if I was qualified or not.

Do opthamologists check for things that might cause retinal detatchments at normal checkups?
Sorry I don't know much on the topic so I might be asking the wrong question Does anyone have a good link to the topic of things causing retinal detatchment and their symptoms?.. and does having a picture take of your retina at a checkup show these things? Thanks so much.

Are the opthamologists always right?
i had my eyes tested and the lady said i didn't need glasses any more im thrilled until i pick up a book or something, i cant read on the computer and sometimes books with small print. i was never blind just long sided i cant concentrate on things up close it gos kinda fuzzy without my current glasses yes i may have taken to test wrong school holidays i don't remember how i saw the board at school what do you guys think ?

What are the names/locations of successful opthamologists performing amniotic membrane tranplants on the eyes?
I am looking for doctors who have many successes with this type of transplant related to removing pterygium from eyes. I have had two previous surgeries both failed. My vision is being impacted by pterygium and I have been told surgery is a must. I am looking of the best. Someone who has utilized Fibrin and amniotic membranes. My first surgery left me with bare schlera and the second was a conjunctival autograft. Any one was has dealt with this please let me know if you have any successes to share
