If your a ophthalmologist or somthing like it pls answer :how you got it; what tasks you do?
what ways its better and not as good as other jobs, important qualifications, what training was needed,what jobs lead you to this one, any advice to get job? if you could answer any that would be great anything would do. ophthamologists are like an eye doctor..

i have been attending the eye clinic with my son since he was 2 he is now 6 and i still don't have much answers i know what he has wrong with them but i don't know how bad they are so i was wondering if there is anyone out there who can just give me straight answers thanks, he has been diagnosed with mild ocular albinism with a foveal hypoplasia, hypermetropic astigmatism and accommodative convergent squint. hs visual acuity is right 6 24 with glasses and left 6 19 with glasses thanks for any help x
Can an optometrist take care of cataracts or do they need surgery by an ophthalmologist?
i'm not thrilled about surgery of any kind AND can one go blind if cataracts are NOT operated on ? also, if surgery is done, does one need the very thick glasses or for that matter, any glasses after surgery other than reading glasses already worn.
Becoming an ophthalmologist in Canada?
I am just about to graduate from grade 12 in Canada and I am really considering becoming an ophthalmologist and I was just wondering if anybody could answer some questions that I have 1. What kind of marks are they looking for?2. I start by going to University, but what do I start taking and where do I go from there. what type of schooling is required 3. So I wanted to see this ophthalmologist in some Ophthalmology Clinic but when I called in for an appointment, the receptionist said I need a referral letter in order for me to make an appointment with the eye specialist. I have no idea where to go to get this referral letter? Do I have to go to like another hospital and see another doctor for the referral letter or what? I don't get it? This is the first time seeing an ophthalmologist so I have no clue?

Hello,I have an amazing 3 1 2 yrs old girl. a week ago the opthamologist said she's farsighted 4.5. he said he's been seeing her case for 2 yrs he never said anything to me before till last week . i was in tears ,speechless and very angery ,i couldn't even say a word . i'm thinking what took him sooooooooo long to diagnose the problem? so should i take my daughter to other dr or stay with the same dr , i heard it's norm for a preschooler to this issue n be diagnosed with. but i say why wait 2 whole yrs for him to adress the issue he prescibed glasses for her is he to blame?please help
Can a primary doctor tell you for sure if you don't have any cross or wandering eye or is an ophthalmologist..?

Why don't they by rule have ophthalmologists[eye health doctors] at mental institutions and other places where?
they diagnose people with psychosis, etc.?obviously a schizophrenic likely has VISUAL delusions and hallucinations. but some of those hallucinations could be something to do with their eyes because many symptoms of eye issues are of hallucinations.this question comes about because at my facility, i asked if they had a ophthalmologist present to examine my eyes, and they said " no, but that's funny because someone else actually asked for that. maybe we will have one soon." wtf? they have like every other kind of doctor there physical health doctor, and psychiatrists, etc. etc. etc. and it's not that they are poor or new the facility is ginormous with big fields to get to from 1 building to the next. it is a very well known mental hospital all over the world.
What to do? Ophthalmologist put eye drops in my eyes?
i went to my ophthalmologist today and she put some eye drops in my eyes just to see if my eyes were normal and i have a project due tomorrow and i cant see anything. How long does it last and how can i speed it up
