My lower eyelid has been twitching uncontrollably on an off for weeks now. I suspect it has lot to do with my level of stress. I would like to get rid of this problem before it becomes more serious.

Questions about a corneal transplant patient? (Only ophthalmologists or specialists)?
So my mom had a corneal transplant this morning and she has a couple of questions.1. Can she take Ambien tonight?2. Does she have to sleep with her head upright? She got the transplant at 11 00 AM if I'm not mistaken and I think she has a patch to cover her eye up. I haven't seen her so I'm not sure.

A question for an ophthalmologist: I see fluorescent dots floating around infront of my eye?
Sometimes when I get up from bed suddenly, I have a sudden rush of Blood to my head. Then, I see certain certain fluorescent dots scrambling around in my eye. These dots are not floaters as floaters change positions with eye movement .These particles change positions randomly and after 3 4 seconds, they disperse and I am able to see normally. What are these particles? Is it blood cells entering in my eyes, every time I feel a head rush?

Did my ophthalmologist misdiagnose me?
She said I simply had dry eye which I already knew. She prescribed me fluorometholone which is an anti inflammatory medication.Problem is I've had these red veins slowly growing toward my cornea over two years. She didn't understand when I described it to her, saying I had dilated blood vessels. A week into using the medication, a little redness cleared up, but the veins blood vessels, whatever are still there and I see new ones. She seemed to be in a hurry and didn't really care what I was saying.

Different eye prescriptions from different ophthalmologists?
My eye power was 4.25, in 2009.A check at a specs store showed it to be 4.5 L & 4.75 R in March 2011. Got new specs and by September I had sharp shooting pain in both eyes. All around eye sockets. Became chronic by December.Visited a private ophthalmologist Jan 2012 who charged Rs.400 for consultation and checked my eye for 6 5 vision and prescribed lenses of 5.5 for both eyes. I didn't buy new specs as I suspected something wrong.Visited a medical college Jan 2012 where the ophthalmologist did the checkup for free, placed lenses in front of my eyes and shone a light into my eye when I could read the letters. He diagonised the eye as 4.5 and prescribed 4.25 lenses and for the first time in my life I was also prescribed cylindrical correction of 0.25.Wearing my old 4.25 lenses have stopped the eye strain, but I'm surprised at the totally different diagnosis at the three places. Your opinion? The private ophthalmologist said that lenses should never be undercorrected. The med college ophthalmologist says lenses should be undercorrected, otherwise there will be strain while reading.Who is correct? Why was he shining a light into my eyes? What do they check that way?p.s lenses with power 4 and lenses with power 4.75 are causing eye strain.

After studying the human eye and after treating humans with eye problems, do you believe that the human eye is a product of evolution? The structure and operation are so complex that a genius engineer could not have designed it.

My mom had glaucoma and an optometrist didn't refer us to an ophthalmologist and now she is blind. Can I sue?
My mom was being seen by an optometrist who claimed he was the same as an M.D for 20 years for glaucoma. Long story short.. she had glaucoma and he didn't refer her to an ophthalmologist in time and now she can't see at all. Can i sue this charlatan?

Will optometrists run ophthalmologists out of business now they have won rights to surgery?
Like that optometrist in Kansas who can now perform the many surgeries that were only restricted to ophthalmologists? So I guess opthalmologists might as well change their specialties, or be ran out of business as more and more states grant permission to optometrists to perform surgery?
