What could cause blurry vision and loss of peripheral vision in 1 eye?
I'm a 29 year old female and when I was about to take my lab quiz yesterday I could not focus on the words. They all seemed to jumble together and my eyes couldn't get into focus. I tried covering 1 eye and tried holding my paper out in front of me but I still could not focus. About 5 minutes later I lost the peripheral vision in my right eye. I could only see bright spots on that side. That lasted about 5 minutes. Afterward I felt as if I had been drinking a few beers kind of wobbly, but not falling all over the place I started menstruating today so I don't know if that has anything to do with it. My insurance is not very good so I am worried that if I go to the doctor I will have to get all kinds of tests that I can't afford as a poor college student Can anyone help?
Temporary loss of peripheral vision followed by migraine?
I have a history of migraine headaches but today I experienced something I have never experienced before.I was at work, all was fine, then I noticed that my peripheral vision in my right eye was fading. It looked dark with spots of white in it. It got worse and worse for about half an hour. When it began to fade a severe migraine crept in. I began to feel nauseous, sensitivity to light and sound, when I closed my eyes I almost fell over from loss of balance. I was even having trouble hearing and responding to people talking to me. I went home, went to sleep, and now I feel fine except for a slight headache.Should I be worried? Could this be more than a simple migraine.
Whats wrong? numbness in hand, tongue, loss of peripheral vision?
Hi, I am a 19 year old, healthy person, and this morning i woke up fine. Than about an hour later, i had a blur in my vision, like if you stare at something bright. It wouldnt go away, and so i shut off all the lights, but it spread. Than i noticed that my peripheral vision on my left side was gone, i could only see right in front of me. that went away after 20 minutes, than my hand became numb, like it fell asleep, but no pins and needles. Than after 10 minutes, that faded away and my tongue became numb, it was the wierdest thing. Does anyone know what that was?
Sudden loss of peripheral vision in left eye followed by bad headache.?
I had also taken Midol maximum strength earlier in the day and had a cup of iced coffee in the morning. Could this possibly be a side effect to the high amount of caffeine in my body, or due to something more serious like a mini stroke? I saw some flashing lights, mostly in my left eye, and couldn't see things clearly. A strong, throbbing headache followed. My family also has a history of diabetes
What can loss of peripheral vision?
Every now and again, like once every 2 months or so, I seem to lose my peripheral vision. It changes from which eye it happens in and on which side of the eye.Last time I had it I remember losing my vision in my left eye on the left side.It meant that when I looked at a person's face, focusing on the nose, I could only see the right side of their face.I have been wearing glasses for 4 years now, but I don't think it has anything to do with them.I'm a female aged 16 if this helps. What could this be?
Temporary loss of peripheral vision?
I have had a few differentt instances where I loose my peripherall vision for about 20 min or so. The last time it happened I was sitting on the couch watching T.V. and nothing else was going on. I had no pain with this, my eyes seemed to have black floaterss everywhere I looked and I could not see out of the sides at all. All I could see out of the sides was salt and pepper. I go to the eye doctor for it Thurs. but have been looking up online and can't decide if it is one of these migraines that impair your vision. I did not have any other problems and I was not stressed. I do have a history of high eye pressure, but the doc. says its not to high and not to worry just yet. Has anyone else had a similar instance or any idea what it might be? Just though I would ask for piece of mind like I said I go to the doc. thurs. for it.
How can i improve my loss of peripheral vision after a cranium surgery?

Temporary loss of peripheral vision in my right eye, does anyone know what this could be due to?
I woke up yesterday morning and the vision in my right eye was spotty and sparkly and then within about 10mins it changed to a blackness at the side of my right eye. I went to see my optician and she said that it could be a type of migrane. But it didnt go away so an hour later I went back and she advised me to go to the hospital immediately. I was working at the time and couldnt get out early. So was going to go up after work. The blackness lasted for about 6 hours and started to go away and the vision out of the side of my eye was blurry, then would go back to normal and then blurry again, until it finally went back to normal, although my head still felt a bit funny. Didnt bother going up to the hospital as it had gone. It then slightly cam back during the evening, but was just blurry rather than black. Does anyone know what this could have been? Should I still go and see someone?Went to eye casualty, got tests done and a CT scan, and then went to see a neurologist. Was given anti inflamatorys, told to cut down smoking and stop the pill. They think it was proboably just a migraine. Thanks for your help
Loss of Peripheral vision and not being able to see.?
I woke up to go to school and did my normal routine. When I looked in the mirror to put on my makeup my vision seemed to be distorted. I could see my whole face except where my lips are it was like there was a blank spot. I could see things far away though so I drove to school. On the way to school I lost peripheral vision in my left eye which was just complete whiteness and there was a zig zag line right above my vision flashing... Within an hour it all went away.. Just wondering if anyone else has had this happen and advice.. I didn't have a headache after it happened. Probably about two hours after it happened I became dizzy in class and had a headache but nowhere near a migraine. I'm going to see an ophthalmologist soon to check things out. Thanks for all of the input
