Will lasik eye surgery fix me?
My vision is around 20 400 in both eyes, and I have though about the military pilot career. What are the chances I will get 20 20 after surgery, what are the odds it will totally screw my eyes up and make them worse?

I'm just wondering. I don't really want 20 20 vision, since I like to wear glasses, I think they suit me. Hello, I'm 17 and have been wearing glasses since i was about 10 years old. Im thinking about getting lasik eye surgery cause i cant stand wearing glasses. Now whenever i get eye drops at the eye doctor i freak out. When the drops hit my eye i start to panic and i start crying ALOT Now im not crying cause of the pain.... its jsut that my eyes are really really sensitive. Whenever i arrive at teh eye doctor and he says " ok lets put in the drops" and i lean back and he opens my eye, i start tearing up before he even puts in the drop. Just leaning back and opening my eye makes me tear up, even if im at home. My question is... will Lasik be impossible for me since my eyes are so freaking sensitive? I saw the procedure on youtube and im pretty sure my eyes will be a swimming pool of water as soon as 1 drop goes in and they put the clamps on your eye. Plus i have a hard time keeping my eye open when u puts in eye drops, and i dont think i will be able to keep my eyes open during the procedure, i would blink too much. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm 13 and i have really poor eyesight. My right eye is 7.50 and my left is 7.00 i think . I have an astigmatism and myopia for my right eye, and nothing for my left. My mom plans to go to California and get lasik eye surgery for both eyes for me when i am 18. This leads me to the question, does it hurt? I've seen videos of it and it looks like it's a painful operation, even if the eye is numb.Also, my contact prescription is 6.50 for my right astigmatism lens of course. , and 7.00 for my left.

I wear glasses since 3 years ago, my vision is not as good to see things far away but I can see from close range. I wanted to do it to both of my eyes, lot of people are encouraging me to do it. But I heard it can be some problems if I use the computer or watch TV for a long time. I use the computer an average of 12 hours a day, I'm required for my online classes to do about 6 hours there, and the other 6 hours I am doing homework or surfing the web, plus I like to play video games for about 3 6 hours a day. I know its bad for my eyes and stuff, I'm studying computers and design so I will be spending more time on the computer after I finish my studies. So I don't care about your personal opinion, I want an answer about the effects that can cause the Lasik on my eyes with this living style. Would it be worth it? Would it help me for a long range of time? Would it worsen my condition? I'm less than 20 years old.

I m 33, thinking about having it done. I have a consultation scheduled in two weeks. But the surgeon s website says your vision should be stable for the last year in order to get the surgery. My last exam was 3 years ago. So if my vision is about the same, I guess I m ok??Also, would like opinions from people who have had the surgery. Is it worth it?

I have read that I may have to have the surgery again since my cornea and eyes can change. But is there any medical risk? Money doesn't really matter so I can just take the procedure now and whenever my eyes change again but I want to know if there are any risks that can affect my health badly.
