I had laser eye surgery to join the british army?
My post surgery vision was 5.25 dioptres . I got the surgery as alot of jobs needed 6 60 unaided vision which I didn't have post surgery. The army rules states. the maximum pre correction refractive error that is allowable to be corrected is 6 dioptres. Which I am within begin 5.25 before surgery. 3months after surgery I was 0.5 in each eye seeing 6 6 20 20 in each eye. However at 6 months I have regressed I am 1 in each eye 6 12 20 40 I may have to undergo an enchacement to correct this remaining 1 dioptre of myopia. My question is will this effect my pre refactive error still begin below the of 6dioptre limit? Thanks for any helpThanks for the reply Footprint. Yes I was 5.25 before the first surgery. I think my refractive error increased because of the way my cornea heal I was told. I no my surgeon did go for a bit of an under correction at my first surgery hoping I would heal up to my original prescription. I was worried they might add the 1 on to my original prescription does this not appear the case? Thanks for you help I was after an opticians opinion on this.

But i want to know what are the chances of risk of blindness from lasik? i have heard some of my older friends had lasik and they turned out fine and definitely see better. But my mum disagree because she thinks you will eventually be blind after lasik. is that true? will you ve blind after lasik. maybe not straight away you'll be blind but perhaps in 10 yrs time. sounds ridiculous but i dont know, just want to clear on that matter

My vision is 20 20, yet i'm a tad farsighted. When I got prescription glasses a few months ago, I couldn't BELIEVE the difference it made. The world is so much more crisp, clear and in focus. However, I hate wearing glasses and want to get laser eye surgery. Can they make my vision better than 20 20? Is it possible to bring it down to 20 10?
