At home vision therapy exercises?
Hi i was looking for some vision therapy exercises that i can do on my almost 4 year old at home, either a list of different activities or a a web site that offers, free vision therapy exercises thanks We are patching her strong eye for a few hours a day, she has astigmatism, farsightedness, amblyopia caused from stravismus, and her one eye turns out the doctor said that, its sometimes both but one does it more often, we have taken her to a doctor for this she has prescribed glasses and patching, but she never mentioned anything about eye excercises and i figure it wouldnt hurt to try, to see if it helps.To Central Vision Opticians london If you have an emai or a web site that we can keep contact through i would greatly appreciate it First of all we have been to an eye doctor and the assesment was strabismus, farsightedness and, astigmatism, we went in november and she gave her glasses and the patch, after 4 months we went back, now the problem is we are living in greece and we have to travel to another island to see her eye doctor, and because new questions arrise every day its not that easy to keep calling the doctor to ask about certain things. The last time we were there, she said that we might need to do eye surgery, she wasnt clear on if she meant eye muscle surgery or, nerve, or what. Second, she said that the vision in her right eye wich is the one that has more of a problem has gotten better but the prescription went up. How is this possible. I am also assuming that the strabismus is causing the right eye to turn out exotropia or amlyopia. central vision opticians London I just wanted to know if with eye vision thearapy can we exercise her eyes enough so she might not need surgery, is surgery only aesthetic, or will it help her use her eyes better therefore improving her eye sight. Is it better to do surgery as early as possible. Is it possible to worsen the eye with eye exercises, and its kinda hard to tell what she sees and if she sees and its also difficult for her to explain to me what she sees. Is it a good idea to let her, practise cutting while wearing the patch, what other activities are good while wearing the patch and without. Also the doctor didnt mention anything about eye exercises, but my friends doc, who also has and eye turn told him to do eye excersises but he is able to see, thats why i am posting the question did the doc not tell me to do eye thearpy so she can get moeny from the surgery or because she will not benefit from it. Thanks for any help central opticians london, Thanks i will try the activities and i will also ask her doctor if thearapy is a good idea, i tried some excersises but i cant tell if she is doing them cause they were the ones where you have to cross your eyes and put a dog into the dog house, but i will def, play catch while she is wearing the patch. Since we live on a far away island in Greece its difficult to be able to see a therapist a few times a week cause we would have to travel to another island and stay there, thats why i am looking into things that i can do at home on my own.
