Tiny black flashes in my field of vision?
Hi, I'm 15. Recently, I started noticing these tiny flashes happening at random times during the day. They only last for about a millisecond, and from what I can see they're like a black dot surrounded by a white ring the whole thing is still a flash, though . They only happen about 2 4 times per day. Should I be worried? They can happen basically anytime during the day. I typically notice them when looking at a white surface, like a computer screen or a dry erase board at school.Again, they last just a millisecond then disappear. And only one appears at a time. Usually they are hours apart, but for the most part they're random occurrences. And no, I'm not on any meds.I read somewhere that it could just be a nutritional deficiency..?

Does a small-eyes person has a smaller field of vision compared to someone with a bigger eyes?
i know it a little weird asking this kind of question, but then, im curious to find out

What to do about three black spots (floaters maybe?) in field of vision?
My friend asked me to ask around for suggestions about a vision problem. She is in her late 40s, and the past couple of months she has been noticing three small, sesame seed sized dots in her field of vision. They remain there even if she rolls her eyes from side to side or up and down. She's consulted an eye doctor, and he said that they were floaters that were in the process of settling. That was quite a while ago, and the dots still haven't gone away. She is wondering what to do, whether this means her vision is damaged, and how to improve her vision and get rid of the spots. Any help and suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks so much Thank you guys so much for all the great answers My friend just has one other question, for those of you who have had this problem before how long did it take for the floaters to settle and the black dot s to go away? Hers have been there for 5 months or so now and still have not disappeared...

Color shimmers, blinking spots in field of vision?
All my life I've seen shimmers of subtle colors and blinking spots in my field of vision. I don't think the spots are floaters, they're gone in an instant. Anyone else have this? It's more of an occasional annoyance if I start focusing on them , but they're always there.

What is this black dot in my field of vision?
Ever since I was little 30 years ago I could always force myself to focus at a fixed spot in the center of my vision and see a tiny black dot dancing around. It has never bothered me, but I am curious as to what the phenomena may be. I cannot focus on the dot which seems to be a black dot swirling around, but focusing hard at the center of my vision makes the dot appear otherwise I do not notice it . I have no history of mental illness, schizophrenia, hallucinations, etc. before anyone asks. Thoughts?

What are the binocular boundaries of the field of vision measured in degrees from the point of fixation?

Why does my left field of vision flashes stars?
My left field of vision dims and dark spots appear like when you're about to black out for a brief moment less than 1 second.

IS there anything i can do about the floaters in my field of vision?
I have had them since i was 10, now they're getting worse and it is very annoying especially on a bright sunny day because they show up alot clearer.. any advice would be greatly received. thanks

If my vision is 20/80 in both eyes, what would the total field of vision be, in degrees?
Not sure if I even asked this right..Trying to find out what visual acuity is with and without an RX. I believe it's 20 80 in both eyes. Either way, I REALLY need to know what the total field of vision is in degrees THANKS to ANYONE who can help Okay..better question then and not sure anyone will help.. but, I was given a certificate of vision examination, however, I don't have insurance nor do I have the money to go to an eye doctor.. I wasn't able to pass the eye exam because I didn't have my contacts in, but the the woman gave me this form anyway. I'd like to be able to fill this out on my own. I have to board a plane on Monday it's an ER last minute situation and NEED an ID & this state won't give me just a state ID card b c I have a VALID DL in another state.. So I need the visual acuity of the right & left eye, plus the total field of vision in degrees.. If anyone is willing to help, it'd be VERY appreciated.

What is the physiological cause for my field of vision to become dark?
When this happens I feel a sense of depersonalization sort of a dream state . Today it happened immediately after a short jog, but occasionally it happens for no apparent reason at all. I could just be sitting talking to someone. I always eat well and frequently, and I am generally in good health or so I thought . Sitting, eating, or drinking something has no effect. Am I about to faint when this happens? What causes this? Does it have something to do with blood flow or a neurotransmission problem? I'm not on any medication.

Can Optic Nerve Head Drusen cause optic nerve thinning and field of vision loss?
I have thinning of my optic nerve head, blind spots in my field of vision and have been told that I have optic nerve head drusen. I've been to the optometrist three times and he sent me for a test at the ophthalmologist for a test Spectralis RNFL but did not refer me to see the ophthalmologist. Is it possible that the thinning and the field of vision loss is from the optic nerve head drusen. Should I be more concerned, my optometrist doesn't seem to be overly concerned. Should I go to an ophthalmologist or continue seeing the optometrist? Any help would be greatly appreciated

I am seeing a 1 inch transparent circle made up of wavy lines in the center of my field of vision?
I started seeing it 3 weeks ago and i can see it out of both eyes open or closed. Its constant and im a little freaked out...any suggestions or answers would be helpfulI've been seeing it for 3 weeks now and can see it out of both eyes, open or closed. it doesn't actually distort what i look at, its more like it gets projected onto what i look at....and if i partake in the smoking of marijuana, it gets bigger and starts to spin, and it occasionally while under the influence will get like attachments that spin around around it as well...so its more like im hallucinating....ive never done acid, and only taken shrooms twice, so i kind of think its more linked to my brain than eyes.

Thousands of tiny sparks, across my field of vision, any suggestions on what it could be? ?
The sparks are like tiny stars, of different sizes, I sometimes but rarely get comets. They do not block my vision, I don't even need to use glasses, but they are there. would appreciate your help on this.
