1. Which are better for your eyes contacts or glasses?2. Are soft contacts a danger if you accidentally sleep with them on forget to remove them?3. Is it true that if you wear your glasses or contacts all the time, it's bad because your eyes become totally dependent on them?4. My friend told me it is best to alternate between glasses, contacts, and going for brief periods of time without either of them. Is this sound advice for a short sighted person with power 250 ? I've been wearing glasses on and off since I was 12, and now at 18 I've finally been wearing them properly.5. Do glasses contacts really improve eyesight in the long term?
My wife has glucoma and needs new eyewear and we can't afford the cost she has medicare but they won't help
she has medicaid but the state we live in doesn't cover this but every so many years 5 and she had hers 3 years ago and since that time medicaid cut 10's of thousands of it's residents of this coverage anyone have any suggestions I don't want her going blind but she can't even drive anymore....
Allergic to plastic eyewear?
When I was younger I was fitted for a pair of eyeglasses and found that my eyes would burn and tear up. I recently purchased a pair of cheap sunglasses that do not have that affect on my eyes. Other pairs I tried on did make my eyes burn. Is this common at all? Maybe it's the polycarbonate?

ima make this shorti have perfect eye site 20 20, i bought a pair for glasses that claim it reduces eye strain.. its .50 add correction on the lenses, high quality gold tint that naturally blocks some of the harsh blues from the light spectrum. They are corrective lenses and my question is can they hurt my eye site because ive read reviews about people eyes site being throwing out of focus i got them as a gift cause iam infront of a cpu alot thx everyone.. 5 stars for best answers is this safe for some1 with no prescription wasnt aware 20 20 isnt perfect im jus sayn i have good eye site and thx keep em coming kitty is takin the 5 stars so far thx alot < 3

Can anyone recommend some good eyewear for heavy computer users needing protection from blue light exposure?
I have a pair of protective glasses from a company called " Computer Eyes" . They help with the glare and eye strain, but it's not enough. I also use an anti glare screen, but still more is needed.I'm wondering if they make computer eye wear that is tinted. I've searched internet, but have yet to find a company who makes these, if they exist.Any recommendations?The problem is eye strain. There is not a problem with sleeping nor is bipolar personality disorder a problem. It's just eye strain. Blue light is the light that comes from most computer screens and is strongest from laptops.

Progressive Eyewear?
I need a reading glass when I'm at my computer or to read..Recently, ordered a progressive eyewear from an optical shop. Did some examinations and when my eyewear is ready for collection, I tried on and could not even see clearly when I do my reading. Complain to the optician and he insisted that I do not how to use it and make up lots of other excuses. Isn't Optician supposed to help the patient and not just doing sales..How should I deal with it..
