Make sure you are using good cleaning solution. I was using the Costco brand to save money, and the eye doctor said it was a really bad idea. He suggested Opti-Free Express. Also, sometimes you have to try different kinds of contacts before you find the brand that works for you. Finally, if all else fails, your your eye doctor has no solutions, it's time to splurge on an attractive pair of eye glasses. |

You should leave your lenses because it can only make your eye health worse when having dry eyes and damage the top surface of the cornea. I've suffered from DES (dry eyes syndrome) in the past due to a medication I was on and I just wore my lenses occasionally when I needed them and added lots of artificial tears. Hope this can help. Good luck. |

In order to prevent dry eyes, try using extended wear contacts, such as these. T cococontacts.com/ contact_lenses/ night_day This kind of contacts allows more oxygen to the eye, therefore more nutrients to keep it healthy, and thus moisturize. Also use products like OPTI FREE replenish solution, to soak your contacts every evening. This will prevent you contacts from drying up. And can keep the moisture in for 14 hours. In the morning use Aquify as an eyedrop, or any lubricating eyedrop that is designed for contact lenses. Do no use visine this is not designed for your contacts. Visine will damage the contact lenses material. Also try taking Vitamin A supplement or Optein supplement. They encourage good nutrition for the eye and prevent eye dryness. |
