Kindle 4 eye strain problem?
I just got a kindle 4 today and so far when I try to read on it, it causes intense eye strain. Any one else have this problem? Cause it's aggravating me.
My vision keeps flickering , blurring? Is this eye strain?
Im getting checked by a Professional very soon so no worries. Im a older female teenager , sometimes my vision goes black or darkens for a split second & recently my eye's have become blurry in some places momentarily like a distortion , when i put on my glasses the distortion goes away. I draw alot so my eye's go like SUPER FOCUS When im doing so.The super focus thing is a joke

i used to wear glasses but lost them and got contacts on the second day i left them in my eye too long and they stuck, taking them out caused redness but no scartches. i also had developed an allergy to opti free after using so much to take them out. after taking them out the redness has stayed but not as bad . long story short . saw a eye specialist twice and was said to be fine and a little dryness . but after using all top rated eye drops even the ones a pharmacist recommended to me that didn't work i started thinking back then i used to get headache from walking around blurry blind when i was younger and also notice that the day i lost my glasses i did see redness so im thinking that it may be eye strain the redness is directly on the sides of my cornea not on the top or bottom i also notice off focus vision sometimes. do glasses really reduce strain.
How do you get rid of eye strains?
I'm pretty sure I get eye strains and I had one today. Anyone know how to get rid of one when you get one? Not like go see your doctor or medicine. What I can do to help right then. Thanks No glasses
Could eye strain have caused me to develop sensitivity to really bright light such as sunlight?
I developed a bad case of eyestrain few months ago which lead to my vision getting blurry my eye doctor prescribed eyeglasses to me which after 2 months or so helped me and my eyestrain symptoms got better. I've started noticing few changes while i was dealing with eyestrain i'm sensible to really bright light like sunlight especially sunlight i get like a quick mild shock feeling on top of my eyeballs if i look at a bright light and it makes me look away from it i also realized that sometimes my far vision gets slightly blurry when i look at small letters on a far distance but sometimes i can see perfectly fine i would also like to mention that while driving at night some car lights make me close my eyes for a few seconds not all car lights though only the really white blue looking ones the yellowish ones barely bother me at all. I would just like to know that if any of these things i mentioned will cause me future problems and is there anything i can do about any of this if what i mentioned here is a serious thing?

Hi, ok so i think this all started about 3 and a half years ago when i was 14....it was the beginning of January. I begin to develop major discomfort in my eyes, such as heavy eyelids, dry, burning eyes I went to the doctor not an eye doctor and he just gave me some Systane eye drops, but i knew in my heart that it wasnt just " dry eyes" but something more. Now fast forward to Jan 2012, I just got a new computer and about a couple of weeks ago, i would be on it for a couple of hours a day just watching some movies on Netflik. I never had a problem until a couple of days ago, i had finished watching a movie and then i went to bed, my eyes started feeling very strained and i couldn't go to sleep, i went downstairs to watch t.v...i ALWAYS fall asleep when watching t.v and i didnt. Im going to school now, I have novels to read and stuff...its my last year of high school....i cant do this. I feel literally hopeless I can't sleep, i have lost my appetite too. I also have sinus issues, and my head hurts and sometimes just feels weird...but i dont have any pain most of the time and when i use eyedrops, my eyes still feel like their begging to pop out of the sockets. I can not continue to live like this, I am not looking for any home remedies..i need something that will work Something that can treat the underlying problem. My eye muscles are severely strained, words can not describe the pain and discomfort that have plagued my eyes. Please any optometrists out there, anybody any antibotics, pills anything Do you guys know of anything that i could possibly help me...ive tried closing my eyes and sleeping on rare occasions its ok for a tat bit, then bam its back. Please help meeeeee and here is the site where i discovered just today that im suffering from asthenopia, ive had this before but i slept and then i was fine...why isn't it going away ? Is vertigo a symptom of eye strain?
I know that eye strain can cause dizziness, but I need to know if vertigo specifically is a symptom. Light vertigo is when it feels like the world is moving, as if you were in a slow earthquake, and extreme vertigo is the feeling you get on a roller coaster or spinning in a circle.I've had constant mild vertigo, a minor ear infection, and stopped wearing my astigmatism glasses except for reading. I need to know if vertigo specifically is from the ear issue or eye strain.Thanks.
Can eye strain cause permanent damage?
I used to have 20 20 vision and was long sighted, now I have slightly poorer eyesight and have become short sighted. I do lots of studying and using a computer around 8 hours a day on weekdays and have developed an excessive blinking problem which I had now had for about 18 months. My eyes often get watery when I try looking at things that are far away when outdoors.I now wear my glasses whenever I am studying and have tried to get more sleep. Could I have caused permanent damage to my eyesight? It has got much worse over the last year.Thanks

When I read for even a minute my eyes hurt and I get a headache. I sometime have to squint to focus my eyes but sometimes I can see fine if the light is fine. I have taken Advil and I have also drank many glasses of water but I can't get my eyestrain to stop. I'm 43 btw. I am very confused.

I've had purplish bags under my eyes that are maybe 3 4 in wide for as long as I can remember years . I've also worn contacts for a few years.I wear my contacts about once a week, and the rest of the time I just use the vision I have because it isn't too bad. I wear them because I have trouble with clear vision from a distance.I get about 7 8 hours of sleep every night and I drink water and orange juice throughout the day.Is it possible that not wearing my contacts or glasses is why I have bags? I was thinking maybe not wearing them is causing stress on my eyes leading to my bags, but I couldn't find anything online about it.
