Do I have to sacrifice my eye sight to be a DOCTOR?
I'm a pre med student and I had a LASIK eye surgery about two years ago. I haven't been wearing glasses since then. But now I'm wondering as EVERY doctor I have seen so far is wearing glasses, will I end up wearing one too after med school? Why do most doctors wear glasses? Is it because their eyes get used to having a certain focus from too much reading? Microscopes? Is there any way to decrease my chances of wearing glasses again?ThanksI don't mean wearing glasses that correct Far sightedness, I mean glasses that correct near sightedness. Even though some doctors are old, but the kind of glasses they're wearing are not the reading glasses.

Sudden change in my eye sight?
Hi,I've needed glasses for almost ten years but have worn contacts for two years now as I am short sighted. My vision has been alright the last few years and I haven't needed to get a stronger lense.But all of a sudden about a week ago, when looking at things close up, my left has has gone a bit blurry, and when looking at things far away my right eye is blurry, which is really strange.I've had a quick look online but I can't see what it could possibly be.If anyone has any ideas it would be a great help, thank you.

My eye sight prescription?
I went to the opticians again as i feel my eyes had deterieted, more so in the right eye as. Where i've covered one eye and tried to read something, and my left is okay but my right isnt so clear and cant always read things.Two years ago i had a new prescrpition, but still, while my left eye vision was good in glasses, my right eye was still poor.Then last week i had an eye test, but the prescription came back that my left eye is worser than my right, my left is 5.25 and my right 5.00.Now that didnt make sense, as with my glasses, contacts, or natural sight, i see better with my left than my right.Today i had the new lenses fitted...........and the left eye strengh from my previous lenses has improved, but my right eye, still hasnt really showed no difference in vision quality than my previous pair.Soo now i'm worried..... as I feel its my right eye been weaker, but after the eye test, my left eye had the higher strength prescription.And even with my new glasses....... my right eye vision is still no better.Anyone help or figure this out? Thanks
Wear color contacts without magnification ruin my 20/20 eye sight?
I don't use glasses and have a good vision. I don't like my eye color and wish to change it which eye contacts but I don't know if there is contacts without magnification. If there is would it ruin my eye sight more putting it in my eyes.
Vertigo? World randomly starts spinning, eye sight feels at time blurry?
Ever since I was 13 or 14 don't remember exact age I have been experiencing brief lasting no longer than 30 seconds some times a full minute spells of vertigo. Up until yesterday i considered it dizzy spells but after research I have realized dizzy is feeling faint vertigo is spinning feeling which is what I have, out of nowhere I feel like the entire world is spinning. Like when you re a child and you extend your arms out and spin around until you fall then close your eyes and the world spins. That is exactly what happens to me. And i get extremely nauseated if I don't immediately close my eyes and lay down if i'm not already lying down . These spells are completely random I can be sitting watching tv laying down trying to go to sleep standing up and even driving my car that was scary when they first started my doctor did a MRI and found nothing so since then I haven't seen my doctor about them anymore. Well yesterday morning while driving I had one and it terrified me because I couldn't close my eyes and the queasy feeling turned into my eye sight hurting. Weird I don t know how to describe the eye pain it didn t really feel like I cut my finger pain it was more like eye strain pain. It was strange. After a lot of google and webMD that website is going to turn me into a hypochondriac I learned there are very few causes for long term vertigo so now I m terrified. Anyone else have these symptoms? Oh and completely unrelated or at least they don t happen at the same time I have heart palpations they started about 15 I haven t ever talked to my doctor about those I don t go to my doctor a lot unless I m sick or something but anyway heart palpations I feel like my heart skips a beat or two its terrifying because you feel like your heart has stopped and in a few seconds your going to be dead, then my heart starts beating again. They also happen anytime, usually I m lying down sitting up or walking, never that I notice running or while barrel racing when I get my heart rate up And I have noticed lately my eye sight gets blurry some times like looking at a computer or tv trying to read the guide. I some times think its because I read a lot on my kindle and on my phone So i look at a screen all the time. But still I figured I would list it too. SO has anyone else had these? Have you been diagnosed with anything? I m going to my doctor hopefully Friday so no answers saying go to the doctor lol oh and I m 18

I have been recently watching loads of movies and tv. I feel a bit bad and i think it will damage my eye sight. What could i do so that it will get better or neutralise? eat things drink things eye drops?i dont no plz help me with this 1thanks 2 all the people who have answered this question D
Recovering Eye sight, or at least normal eye appereance?
Hi, i was born with a blind eye because i didn't get enough oxygen before birth, well this is what my mom has told me which i avoid asking her more since it makes us both uncomfortable, my mom said she had to take my to the hospital at 8 months of pregnancy because i was choking on the feeding tube inside her stomach,so they had to take me out. but i have been looking up things in the internet, and it seems like i have cataracts,lazy eye my eye drifts away to the side but if i can still move it and my eye appears a bit smaller, In my research so far i have learned that cataract removal is possible and extremely safe, and it is also possible to strengthen the muscle in my eyeIf this is true, Is it possible that i can regain eye sight, or atleast make my eye look normal? is it too late? i am 16 years old and if those things can't even make my eye look normal, will contacts help?Please, I need a reply, i am very confused and i have been hiding my eyes with my hair almost all of my life, people look at me funny,i bump into things,I get made fun off, and people have called me names over my disability...
Eye sight ... Depressed?
Recently I've been quite depressed. Researching for cures obviously did not work... Eye exercises don't really works and I always forget to do it. Carrots ? Really? ... Nup it doesn't work.... I'm only 13 and my right eye is 350 left eye is 450... I'm really depressed by the recent results. Apparently it doesn't stop until u are around the age of 20 Recently even the stuff infront of me are blurry. I feel as if I'd be blind by the time I reach the age of 20 Laser surgery? Expensive and can I even do it at this age ? And the risks. I know I just have to deal with it but it really bothers me everyday. Computers and games aren't really the problem. It's more genetic reasons. Recently I go out heaps but does it really help your eyes get better if you go out alot? Like stop it from going up or even make your eyes get better? Pft if it really did that everyone won't have bad eye sight... Just wondering ? Is anyone in the same situation as me? Just to make me feel better that I'm not alone haha. Bye All the best.
