Can you get eye problems like proptosis 4 years after being a thyroid patient?
I have recently had the RAI treatment for my thyroid but I am a smoker and would like to know if I'm still at risk of eye disease...I have had Graves since 2007 and although I have gained 15 pounds I can't get rid of it hasn't yet affected my eyes...Does this mean it spared me?Thank you both for your input...I am on T4 to regulate my THS which goes up and down all the time since RAI in August...My antibodies are bad too much too many ...All the best to you too and everyone out there who struggles...it's a tough one...

Okay so I wear glasses, and at night when I go to bed, as soon as I take off my glasses my eyes become red and very itchy, And most of the time they become swollen. Is there a reason for this? I mean, with my glasses my eyes are fine, but as soon as I take off my glasses... Not so fine.

So the past 3 days i have been experiencing something I've never experienced before. My eyes have been very irritated and producing this pussy like yellow substance that makes my eyes all crusty when i wake up and when i wash it of, it just kind of comes back. and this has never happened before.. my friend has me scared because he said if you use someone else's makeup your eyes can get infected and for the first time ever i used someone else's makeup... because i didn't have mine and i had to go to school. But ever since i used her makeup this has been happening to my eye. could this be serious? can somebody tell me anything? EDIT But i've had pink eye before, and i couldn't even open my eyes. i was basically walking blind and my eyes were pink and super crusty and i remember it being very disgusting. Plus i thought pink eye was a one time thing like chicken pox. I'm pretty sure it's not pink eye, my eyes would be supremely swollen and gross. I can still put makeup on although i'm not

Well, I can see very well, I can read small text from far away, I have never worn glasses or contacts, so my eyes are not bad or anything, but lately the past 3 4 months Almost twice a day my eyes will randomly black out and will not be able to see anything for about 10 seconds and then my vision will slowly fade back in, I just want to know if this is something I should get checked out. I do not want to be stuck without my eyes for an hour, or even forever.
Throat and eye problems?
this last week i've had a sore throat and it's only gotten worse. i have trouble swallowing and when i wake up in the morning my eyes are crusted shut. not sure whats wrong any one know what could be wrong or had this happen. thanks for any help

For the past 3 months I've had Double vision, floaters, and a weird phenomena where I look at an object and when I look away, I can see the shape of that object, like the corners of that object. I also get flares when I look at like street lights or the light of a car. I scheduled an appointment two weeks from today and I wanted to see if someone could maybe insinuate what my eye problem would be. Thanks Mark
Will sleeping with an icepack over my eyes every night increase my chances of having eye problems?
Every night for MONTHS, I've been sleeping with a fabric ice pack filled with rice over my eyes. I love the feeling of my eyes getting cold. I started to wonder, would keeping a cold ice pack over my eyes all night, every night, cause me to have eye problems?Thank you Your answer is VERY much appreciated
Does chronic anxiety and panic attacks cause eye problems?
For the past month i've been suffereing from chronic anxiety and panic attacks. My vision seems to be affected most cause it's a constant reminder of panic attacks and makes them reoccur. Finally got in to see a psychiatrist and he put me on a beta blocker, xanax and lexapro.Thing that bothers the most is my eyes, it's like a derealization foggy effect. Went to an eye doctor and had a complete exam and i still have 20 20 despite the problems. If anybody experienced or is havin this problem do your eyes eventually get back to normal and if so how long does it take or did it take in your case?
Does this sound like inner ear or eye problems or both?
sometimes i get alittle dizzy like tonight while i got up from computer it happened it only has happened about 3 or 4 times a year ive also noticed i used to have to ride in the front seat in order to not get car sick, sometimes now i do even if im riding in the front seat,then sometimes not, as far as the eye part goes went to a movie and the camera was going across the top of a roof and i had to look away for a second cause it made my head spin alittle, went to ear,nose and throat dr 2 yrs ago i do have alittle nerve damage in right ear ,wondering if this is playing a facto to

Hello, I am 22 years old male which has no health issues from years. I started having eye problems recently just 2 weeks ago and am really stressing about this since then. I started seeing a black dot in left eye, which has some thin lines sticking to it like a web and always follow my sight of vision. I always feel sad and weak when I wake up and wished I was normal. I cried a lot yesterday and felt as I am in deep depression. I went to my regular yearly optometrist, which he dilated my eye and told it's just floaters nothing that serious. He told me my eyes is good and have normal eye pressure, and retina is perfect. My eye sight is good .20 .20 and my near sight is perfect no prescription. I also went to 2 different ophthalmologists offices even though I wasn't told to. They said the same about the floaters that I need to get used to it. The only different information was about my optic nerve that one ophthalmologist said I have thick optic nerve in both eyes it could be glaucoma. The other ophthalmologist said I have thick optic nerve in right eye only and it looks healthy and eye pressure is normal. The ophthalmologist also said she guarantees that I don't have glaucoma and she asked where I was from. She told me that some people born with thick looking optic nerves, which is normal. She told me that she will monitor me every year. The other concern now I have is both ophthalmologists said I have thin retina. I goggled it and scared since then. In my family no one has a sign of eye problems just me. I heard the only reason of having thin retina is if I have bad near sight, which I don't. Is there way I can cure it like eating carrots, apples, vitamins supplements. I also wanted to make sure, which I didn't told to the doctors that I was scratching my left eye hard and poked myself in the eye 2 weeks ago because of allergies. I also hit my nose hard to the door and felt like I broke it, which also happened 2 weeks ago. Do you think this will be the reasons for the floaters to appear? What can I do about thin retina I am so scared? Please comment Help I play a lot of video games and stay on the computer do you think this would be a issue for thin retina?
