Before you tell me to go to the doctor, I am at 2 45 this afternoon. My husband went to the doctor last week for strep throat and my 8 month old went to the doctor Monday for a runny nose, watery eye and discharge, and a fever. She was diagnosed with viral eye and ear infections. They've both been on antibiotics since their doctor appointments.On Sunday, my throat was a little scratchy, and since then I've had the usual cold symptoms runny nose yellowish, TMI sorry , fever, slight aches. But I woke up this morning with bloodshot and slightly watery eyes with a little bit of eye discharge not as bad as my daughter, and her eyes never were bloodshot . It's a few hours later and they're not nearly as red and there's not really any discharge, but they do feel a tad dry. Does it sound like I could have gotten my daughter's eye infection, or were the eye symptoms from this morning most likely caused by the cold?I thought about pink eye myself, but ruled it out when the redness went away. I've never had pink eye, so maybe that's normal?

Since yesterday, my left eye has been hurting a lot when i close or even blink. I think there might be an eyelash on it, but i open my eye and i don't see anything. My eyelid is swollen, especially in the outercorner area. Should i go see a doctor? I'm 14 and my mom told me to take some tylenol but i don't think that would work.

The past two mornings I have woken up with my eyes essentially sealed shut from dried eye gunk. I literally have had to pry my eyes open both mornings, though today was much worse. After finally doing so, I found that my eyes were flaming red. They weren't yesterday morning, but they were a tiny bit red last night before I went to bed. They're very dry and are secreting strings of white mucus from them. Not a pretty sight. Would anyone happen to know what the devil is wrong with them?Thanks in advance

Okay, I have this very bad eye infection, Its going red and i can barely open my eye, its very painful and I went to the doctor and he didnt do much about it other then give me medication that doesnt help at all, The doctor said if it gets any worse to go to the hospital, Does anyone know what this is called of what will help the pain? Okay, so I ran out of eye makeup remover and have been sleeping with some makeup still on my eye even after showering and washing my face. Today, I woke up noticing there was a pain everytime I put pressure on my eyelid. I'm pretty sure it's that one Stye eye infection. I've been holding a warm soaked teabag on my eyelid for about 15 minutes now? Is there any other way to quickly get rid of this?

i got an eye infection on the right eye a week ago. i've been treating my eye with eye drops since then and i'll stop the treatment in three days.and here come's my question. should i wear contact lens on the left eye, the disinfected one in three days that my treatment will stop?

I got pinkeye about a week ago, or at least I believe it was. I woke up with my right eye really red and it felt a little uncomfortable. Their was alot of mucus around my eyelid when I woke up. The next day my other eye felt the same. After about 3 days my eyes got better. Didn't wake up with the redness or the mucus. I woke up today, a week later with the same symptons only to a lesser degree. My eyes were a little red and had a little bit of mucus. What is bothering me is that where my eyes are really red i see tints of yellow. What does this mean?
