Im screwed. Lost my eye glasses, what can I do? no insurance?
I no longer have vision insurance and I just lost my eye glasses. my daughter was playing in my purse at the store and i guess they fell out. I am completely screwed because I have to drive very far 3 times in the next 2 weeks to go to court I can NOT see without them for distance. How do you take a prescription for eye glasses&convert it into a prescription for contact lenses?
Is there some way you can take a prescription for eye glasses and convert it into a prescription for contact lenses? I hope it's nothing too complicated. I'm just curious to know if it can be done. I've heard about the possibility, here's an example i found online of how to convert but i suck at math and when i went to optometrist he took measurements only for my glasses prescription and he didnt do it for my contact lenses and i really have no money to spend to redo an exam again just so he can take prescription for my lenses...and i am having extremely hard time seeing clearly and it causes me fatigue.. so please help me convert my eye glass prescription into a contact lenses prescription thank you so so much.. here's an example below of how to convert and under neath it is my eye glass prescriptionFcl Fsp 1 d Fsp Fcl 1 contact lens power in diopters ie 6.00 0.167Fsp 1 spectacle lens power in diopters ie 6.50 0.154d distance from the eye to the spectacle lens in meters usually 12mm 0.012So an example would be, using the numbers aboveA spherical eyeglass prescription of 6.50 soFcl 0.154 1 0.012 0.154 6.02 0.154 1.078 6.00You round to the nearest 0.25, there are charts that are much easier.My eyes prescription is OD 9.25 PD 57 OS 7.75 Cylinder 0.50 & Axis 020
Can you get an eye glasses prescription from the contact lense box?
My eye doctor went out of business and I don't have a copy of my current prescription and I need to order new glasses. Is there a way to figure out what my prescription would be for glasses from my contact lenses prescription? I know they aren't the same thing.

Strengths of prism lenses in eye glasses?
Over the summer I had surgery to correct severe double vision in my left eye. My left eye was so bad it was literally rolling up into my head . After the surgery was over I think the surgery was to correct fourth nerve palsy my docotor had me wait a few months to see if the residual double vision got better or if I needed to get prism glasses. It turned out that while the double vision got better I still saw double vision at night and when using the computer during the day.Therefore, I ordered the glasses and brought them into my doctor today to get a " temporary prism " lens it is a thing that the doctor stuck to the inside of the right lens . My first question is why do I feel nausesous headachey when I am wearing them? I have never worn glasses before since I have 20 20 vision so I am guessing it is because of this? Also, why is the prism on the back of the right lens when it was my left eye that had surgery? Lastly, the prism strenghth is 2PP I forgot the actual letters following it but the stength is 2 , how strong is that?Thank you for your help

Good day I'm 15 years old and I never wear eye glasses before, so.. last week I go to an optometrist to check my eyes, because im having a hard time seeing far, such as words on the blackboard, face of people far away.. she just checked my eye grade and its 175 1.75 both so, she just let me read the letters she presented and that done she didn't mention anything else, such as if you are nearsighted, farsighted, or you have astigmatism.. or such thing as, you must wear your glasses all the time, she didnt even, give some tips to care for my eyes or my glasses. So I'm seeking for answers. 1. Do I need to wear my glasses all the time?This case When I read near, Its clear, but when I look far its blurr. Do I need to wear it all the time?2. When I wear the glass, when im reading texts that are near to me, i focused on it, and in a little seconds, it blurrs, like a camera focusing. What do I need to do? 3. When I wear my glass yesterday, after I got it, my eye hurts... like aching..What do I need to do? I read articles in the internet that it is usually normal, because your eyes adjust to it. Is it really normal?Please answer, seriously. Thank you so much God bless. PS Detailed answer is very very very very much appretiated my head starts to ache, when im using my glasses, is it that way?

I got my eye glasses yesterday. I had 1 power so I had to wear them. so now this is my first time that I am wearing glasses. but my eye seems to look out of the frame to look at things like when I am playing my guitar. it's a bit irritating. is it normal?
