I'm going to the eye doctor tomorrow? Help?!?
Alright so tomorrow I'm going to the eye doctor. I went a couple months ago and they said my eyes were okay but lately I don't think they are as good. Likeif I only use my left eye everything is blurry. If I use both it is okay, but it feels like it could be better. so I asked my mom to make me an exam I jsut have a few questions answer all for 10 points please 1 if I do need glasses, what is the process?2 could I get contacts the first time? what is the process of getting contacts?3 do you think i need glasses? i will feel kinda stupid if I asked my mom for an exam and then i don't need them 4 any tips on how to kind of keep it a secret? don't know why, i just don't want anyone to know.5 if they say my eyes are okay but I still think it could be better, what should I do? I kind of want them just cause I think it'll help me out OR cause my eyes aren't as good as they used to be.THANKS SO MUCH, i'm 14 by the way best answer
Strabismus and/or Lazy Eye help? any eye doctors out there?
Well it's been year since i've had strabismus, although mines isn't as drastic and when you look at me normally, it's kind of hard to notice it. but my strabismus which probably also causes my lazy eye i think i have two lazy eyes i can control them but at times it gets hard like in the mourning is really starting to annoy me. I was wondering if anybody out there had this problem and could help me out. Is there anything i can do to help improve it or fix it? if surgery's your answer will that impair my brain and affect me badly? or other solutions like covering one eye is that helpful? Be as specific as possible please.I would greatly appreciate anyone who answers this question for me.Thanks for the responses so far. Nancy yeah i've also heard of them U V I'll look into Phoria thanks, but i forgot to mention my eyes tend to look slightly inwards not really noticeable but its always there and sometimes one eye random gets lazy. I have gone to eye doc. she told me i have strabismus and i haven't spoke to them since. KasumicatThanks for your answer. when i was young i remember a doctor said i needed surgery but then another one said i didn't so i didn't get it. i dont remember what surgery. I think i have a slight strabismus, hard to notice and when im tired or fatigued like you said they tend to wander like lazy eyes. I may have phoria or tropia like what U V said. idk.
I have to go to the eye doctor?
I have to go to the eye doctor I know that's not the technical name for it tomorrow. I'm pretty freaked out. I need contacts glasses because I've 'failed' several vision tests. I hate the " air puff" thing and when they look at my eyes with the blue light machine thing, I faint... Also, I hate getting my eyes dialated, because I don't like the eye drops. How can I make it through this appointment?? It's a full exam and then I need to be fitted for contacts. How do they fit you for contacts?? Thanks

It's been two days since I went to the eye doctor and my right pupil is still dilated, help?
So I went to the Eye doctor I dont remember how it's called P. osomethingmologist two days ago and they gave me some eye drops to dilate my pupils for some tests. They were suppossed to wear off in 6 hours, and they did, but only in my left eye. My right eye is still a little blurry and when I look in the mirror, I see my right pupil is dilated while my left one is not. I... why is this? I went to the eye doctors and he told me. ..?
he said i need to get an MRI for the brain, he found something extremely odd. He showed me pictures he had just taken of the inside of my eye, and he showed me how they was too swollen. I don't really understand the whole thing. I told him how bad my headaches can be and how sometimes my eye turns places and i would have to blink for it to get straight again. Ive never had eye problems, i wear glasses only to read.so should i be worried?
My eye doctor is playing games with me refusing to give me my contacts?
My eye doctor is playing games with me.i was supposed to have recieved my contacts one to two weeks ago, but she canceled my appointment and said that they were sent to her office in Manhattan instead of her office in Queens. i had my father call again and now she is saying how they haven't come and she is going to have to call the company back and even went as far as to say i should be worrying about my studies not my contacts. Mind you i got four A's and two B's on my last report card .i have been wearing the trial contacts she gave me for the past three weeks to a month and they are not supposed to be worn longer than two weeks but i cannot see without them at all.i have extremely bad eye sight. Is she out of line for this? What should i do?
Can you buy a different brand of contact lenses than those you got from the eye doctor with your exam?
Whenever I got my eye exam the doctor had a special where you get two free boxes of Acuvue 2 with the exam. She told me at one point that you use another brand I would have to go in and tell them, they would fit them, give me a new pair, and come back in a week to be sure they were fine. Can I buy a different brand without doing that? I realize that the specifics on some are different, like the BC, so would it be possible?

Hello So I've ordered various types of contacts from my doctor, including colored ones.The only problem is that my eyes are a very dark brown and the colors that my doctor offers just aren't as vivid and bright as I would like.I found some online that I'd like to try, but I don't think that my doctor carries them. I've only seen the big brands like Freshlook and Acuvue in his office. So, can I somehow buy the ones I want through my doctor, or can I only order them online? They're FDA approved and everything, but my parents feel that its safer if my doctor is involved in the process, which I respect completely. Thanks
