Question: Is there any eye disease you get from looking at the computer for too long?

Disease? No. But eye strain is a real condition that can cause vision problems and headaches, and one of its main causes it staring at the computer or TV for long periods. You should take a five-minute break from the computer at least once an hour, and you should blink frequently to keep your eyes from drying out. Using lubricating eye drops (sometimes called artificial tears or rewetting drops) can help too.
