How can i treat my dry eye syndrome?
i have astigmatism and i wear special contact lenses for it. my eyes get very dry and uncomfortable when i wear contact lenses.

ok when i walk up and i look at my eyes there pretty much all white but after awhile they looking kinda pink and bloodshot. every now and then they watery, burning sensations, painfull to open my eyes now and then. and feels somewhat itchy like there something in there. its in both so i have been looking around and i think i have dry eyes syndrome. what do you all think i just really noticed its now and when i pull my bottom eye lid down it really red. please help me i hate the way they look what can i do is it chronic can i get rid of it forever or what?
What is dry eye syndrome. Is it when your eyes water?
At around the same time every night, my eyes burn and start to water and get really itchy. I have to take off my glasses and wash out my eyes with water to relieve the discomfort. Is this dry eye syndrome, and if it is, why is it called dry eye and not wet eye?? Sounds silly I know, but??
Why do i need antibiotics to cure my dry eye syndrome?
I have dry eye syndrome and have been using Celluvisc drops during the day and ointment at night but the ointment doesn't help anymore and drops are not doing much good either so my gp said maybe i should try a course of antibiotics and see what happens. My eyes don't look inflamed though, they just feel dry and a bit gritty a lot of the time.

Dry Eye syndrome and contacts?
I went for contacts today and the optition said you have dry eyes and that i cannot wear contacts due to this, after finding out i have been on holiday with a low intake of general vitamins and water, he told me to go back in a weeks time and make sure i stay hydrated and eat carrots now i want to know if i will be able to get contacts and if there is a way to speed up my tears what the optition said S ?id appreciate answers as i realy want contacts for leisure and need them for sports. x

Treatment for Dry Eye Syndrome ?
So it was only recently that i found out i had dry eye syndrome and it actually appears to be really bad. I used to wear contacts a lot but now i cant put them in my eye for more then a few hours before they start to hurt and feel like there going to fall out. I got plugs put in and tried a bunch of over the counter eye drops but nothing works. Its unbearable. Even when i wear glasses, my eyes are bothered. I thought about trying restasis but some of the reviews said it didn't help at all. Does anyone know any alternate things i can try to help with my dry eye syndrome?
