Can double vision be corrected? Plz read detailed question...?
Ok. Sooooo long story short... Had serious trauma to left eye, got surgery to remove lens and iris, a scleral buckle was also placed around my eye, and the retina was repaired from being torn, not detached. So I am left with only a Pupil. Needless to say, healing time was rather extensive, about 4 months, and I have been wearing a patch the entire time. So my eye was just perfectly fine, healing nicely and still moving well with the other eye. I began to go without the patch for the past few days and while I had a slight turn on my " bad eye" which i noticed obly a few days ago it has significantly increased within the few days of me not wearing the patch over the bad eye so I went to the eye dr to get fitted for a special contact lens since my vision is terrible in both eyes. But when I looked through the glasses or machine thing I have a serious case of double vision. It's like my bad eye although I think it became lazy from lack of use is refusing to cooperate. Is there any way to fix my " bad eye" so that I don't have a lazy eye and double vision? I guess it's worth mentioning that when my good eye is covered my bad eye then focuses and moves forward so that it's not lazy. Also it still moves well with the other eye its just when I'm looking ahead its not being used and my good eye takes over. Will this fix itself once the vision is corrected? Or will I have a permanent wonky eye and double vision?

How to correct double vision In one eye?
I was diagnosed with graves ophtalmophaty 2 years ago. I have had problems in my right eye only. Double vision has been affecting me since then but this has been intermitent and it is not a big deal. I mean the double vision is slightly, I can even drive my car without any inconvenient. Some days I enjoy perfect vision with both eyes. Now that I am planning to have an aviation medical test done I need to know how to correct this issue that bothers me and I know it could be an obstacle to pass this flight medical test. I know the best answer is to go to a specialist and ask him directly, but I'd like to know if someone can give me some kind of advice before I see a doctor. I'll appreciate all answers. Thanks in advance.
Seeing double vision with new glasses until i move them up?
I recently got new prescription glasses and I'm seeing double vision, until i move them up. For example, if i'm looking at a light, i see one on top of the other. And words numbers look blurry. But then when i slide the arms up to the point where im looking through the glasses at like a 45 angle, everything is perfectly clear. I guess i'll bring them back, but i guess it's something wrong with the lens?
What causes double vision?
i've had it like 3 times lately.. Mainly after a long day when i'm in bed watching tv.. It's not like complete double vision just when i look at bright words. I can see everything else fine. But words that are on my phone or tv get very slightly doubled. and only lasts for like 7 seconds.

Having double vision for a long time?
When I was 9 I read a whole book in the dark and after that had happened my eyes had started to have double vision. I could look at a paper in front of me and see vertical doubles of things not next to the paper. When I cover one eye I don't see double. Also, my eyes have been straining when I focus on something for to long. I woke up twice with complete double vision the whole room and it wouldn't go away unless I tried really hard to focus on things. That happened when I was 11. I ignored all of this until today I'm 15 now and my parents refuse to believe anything is wrong with me and that I'm making it up Please help me, I need advice on how to fix this problem, Its been worrying me for quite a bit of time now.
How long will double vision take to go away (contacts)?
I've had double vision for a while both eyes, or not monocular . I started actually wearing contacts haven't worn glasses and I was wondering if it will go away by me being able to actually see with contacts I got a month or two ago . Should I just keep doing eye exercises for it and have it eventually go away?
I have headaches, double vision, nausea, dizzyness, depth perception, memory loss, mood swings, depression,?
My husband was in a car wreck in Feb of 2007. He was knocked out for about 20 minutes. 3 days later he started having parkinson like symptoms with severe headaches, dizziness, double vision, nausea, depth preception problems, memory loss, severe mood swings, and studdering. He has gotten a little better but seems to have hit a wall and seems to not be getting any better. His symptoms get extremely severe with any kind of pressure or anxiety. He was initally diagnosed with post concussion syndrom and mild tramatic brain injury. He has had MRI's and CT scans which show no signs of swelling or bleeding. He has the same type injury that killed Dale Earnheart. His car was knocked off a 6 ft. revene and came to a complete stop on impact. He is always severely depressed and feels like he is less of a man. What do you think?
Can lazy eye (Amblyopia) cause double vision ?
Double Vision in right eye?
Hi A while ago my 2 months my old optometrist prescribed a lens for my right eye that was in fact 0.75 diopters to strong. I wore the glasses for twee weeks, in which I experienced double vision in my right eye. After two weeks I went back, and they replaced the lens with a weaker one. My vision is clear but the double vision still remains. My question is, is the double vision permanent or will it correct it self? x Thanks for any and all replies. I am freaking out hereThanks for the replies so far. The strange thing is just before this period, my vision was normal. I did not have any double vision. Also after they replaced my lenses the distance between the images grew smaller. With the wrong lenses it was like a 3 mm ghost image. With the weaker lenses it went down to about 1 2 mm
