Help with contacts/ eye redness?
So I've been wearing contacts for about 4ish years now. I've always used Proclear contacts and Opti free Alcon contact solution. This year my new contact lady gave me Air Optics to try, and also the new Renu contact solution. After about two weeks of wearing the new stuff, my eyes got all red. For about two months I wear my contacts, get rid eyes, wear glasses for two weeks, and repeat. I have also switched back to proclear, and alcon. But it is getting really old and my eye doctor says there is nothing to worry about. Does anybody know what I can do to stop the redness?

Violet contacts, eye doctors please?
Hi My eye doctor said that I can't wear contacts because I'm farsighted can see well far but not near . I have known this since 1st or 2nd grade when I got my first pair of glasses . I have had 3 pairs of glasses since then, I'm 13 now. The first 2 pairs helped me see near and did not affect my seeing of far objects. Then in 5th grade I'm in 7th now , he gave me BIFOCALS I never wore them because they drove me nuts I would just rather go through eyestrain rather than looking through bifocals. So I went to him about, I'm not exactly sure, maybe 3 weeks ago? And he acted not rudely as if he had never given my non bifocals before. We went to ask him about contacts, and he said since I'm farsighted I cannot wear contacts other than bifocal contacts, which he said only 1 in 10 people are compatible with . I was extremely disappointed because I really, REALLY wanted violet contacts since I have wanted them since I knew that it is possible for someone to have violet eyes, but it is just so dang rare . What it seems to me as he is saying is " they don't make contacts for people who are far sighted" . I don't think that that is true. I don't mind compromising on my ability to see far, I just really need to see near. Because I'm at school from 7am to 4pm, then I do my homework for a couple hours, then I play. so about ten out of the 16 or so hours I'm awake, I'll need to be able to see near more than far.So here are my questions 1 Can I get contacts to correct my farsightedness?2 Why was my doctor saying I really couldn't?and3 What is the best colored contact brand that would make my eyes a BOLD and noticeable violet color without making it look fake? I have Hazel eyes that look brown most of the time I have looked at Nudy colors and Freshlook colors too.Thanx in advance pplz . > . <
Emergency, please help me (i wore my sister's contacts, eyes hurt a lot)?
On Monday i decided to wear my younger sister's eye contacts they were new and hadn't been worn before as I didn't have my own. I thought everything would be alright despite the fact she has a different perscription than me. I wore them until Wednesday but haven't worn any since then. However, yesterday friday i started feeling pain in my eyes. My eyes now hurt a lot, and i was wondering if anyone could give me any advice or tell me what might happen as a result of this. Thank you, i'm really worried.
New to contacts: eye redness?
I just got fitted for contacts today and took a trial pair home with me. The doctor put them in, then had me take them out and then put them in again. And then I took them off so i could drive home without feeling dizzy and then put them in again for the recommended 4 hours and then took them off. Now one of my eyes is a little red. Is this normal? I'd like to think so considering I put my contacts on and off something like 3 times today, struggling for at least 5 to 10 minutes each time. But I just need to be comforted that this is normal.
