Can a person with -6.75 strength contact lenses wear -6.50 or -7.00?
I know this is more of a question for my optometrist, but I live in a small town, and he's aaaaaaaaaalways busy. So I figured I'd come here first, hoping someone would know. Right now I wear 02 optix by cibavision, and so far those are the only ones I can find that have a 6.75 strength. I was hoping to order something a little different this time. I wanted to try the Freshlook Colorblends, made also by cibavision, but they don't seem to make them in 6.75.
What makes disposable contact lenses wear out more?
Is it the wearing? Or is the the taking in and out?If I alternate between colored contacts for half a day and wear my regular contacts for the other half a day, am I just using them up at 2x the regular speed?
How many hours maximum are recommended for contact lenses wear?
Some of my friends wear them from when they get up to when they go to bed while some friends tell me to only wear them for around 7 8 hours or not my eyes will get dry.

Contact lenses... wearing longer than the recommended two weeks!?
as in wearing them after 2 weeks have past since you first wore them. I'm talking about the 2wk disposable ones. In the last two weeks, I only wore them 3 4 times.. Is it safe to wear them a few more times on the 3rd week if I only wore them 4 times?I washed and rubbed my lenses clean, so I don't know if crap will build up after 2 weeks.
Prescription differs from actual contact lenses worn?
Hi there,my prescription reads as follows OD Sphere 2.75 , Cylinder 0.50 , Axis 95 OS Sphere 2.75 , Cylinder 0.25 , Axis 75 . The box of contact lenses that I purchased at the optometrist's office states that it is 3.00, and I have never had problems with it.My question is if I am to order contact lenses online, should I order them as 3.00 or 2.75? Contact lenses, wearing time and dry eyes :S?
Well.. i've been using contact lenses in the past but recently started using them again after about a year of being without them. I thought i would be able to go back to wearing them for about 10 12 hours a day but my eyes get extremely dry after about 4 hours. Its a bit annoying but i guess because i was without them for a long time, i will have to build up the wearing time gradually. Im just not sure how long i should start wearing them for and when i should start building the time up so i can where them for longer? If anyone is new to wearing contacts or has remembered this information please help lol. I would go back to the opticion but its far away from where i live and it seems pointless for such a minor question. Hopefully i can get some help.. Thanks
