Is a contact lense fitting universal (good for any brand)?
Do you have to get measured for each brand of contact lenses you want to try or is it universal?

Bausch & Lomb contact lense - Eye Dryness and Pain?
Dear All,I had been using Acuvue disposable contact lense and they were quite comfortable. From a month or more i started using B& L extendable One year durability claimed . After two or three hours, it becomes uncomfortable and i started feeling eye dryness and headache. One wierd thing, while i am wearing lenses if i keep my head straight and look upward, lense pushed down by upper eyelid may be due to lense tickness . Moreover after some hours, i feel like lense displaced upon eye blinking may be because of dryness .I understand the fact that disposable lenses are comfortable but also expensive. Please advise which brand is best for extendable lenses. Thanks & best RegardsYasir
About switching contact lense brands - differences in measurements?
I first got 1 Day Acuvue Moist Astigmatism contact lenses, prescribed with the base curve of 8.5 and vision of 4.75. These lenses fit great and I saw well, so I wanted to get ones that I could wear longer than a day before throwing them away. I went ahead and ordered Soflens 66 Toric lenses with the same measurements and have been using them for a few months now. However, I soon noticed that I didn't see quite as well with them, mainly when trying to read text from afar subtitles on TV etc . I didn't let it bother me too much though since I had already bought a few lenses and there were no other problems, lenses felt fine despite the slightly worse vision than with the previous lenses.Now, I'm looking into Acuvue Advance Astigmatism lenses, but it has a BC of 8.6 instead of the 8.5 I've worn. Firstly, I was wondering if a difference of .1 is very drastic, or would it be fine? And secondly, would going from 4.75 to 5.00 in vision make much of a change? I was thinking of adding slightly more to the minuses since I don't see QUITE as well as I could with my current lenses, but it's relatively minor.. Then again, I saw well with my first lenses that were Acuvue, and now the ones I'm getting would be Acuvue too, so maybe 4.75 would be enough? But then again, would it hurt to add that .25 to vision anyway.. ? Hmm..I know I could and probably should.. go to a professional for a fitting, but then again, why not ask here first. Question for contact lense users?
I got the monthly contact lenses If I skip let's say a whole week without wearing them, can I still make up for it. Like let's say I got them on january 1st, so if i skip a week without wearing them, would i throw them away on january 7th. please answer.
Dropped contact lense? lense wont go in?
so i was trying to put the lense in and it didnt work, i did the 2 finger pry thing too ah anywayzi dropped the lense on my counteri soaked it in solution..... should i still wear it?also is it supposed to be this hard to get a lense in for the first time
How to get a deposit/smudge off of soft contact lense?
I have soft contact lenses and about 1 week ago it developed a smudge on the right contact lense. it will not come off no matter how many times ive rinsed it and its hurting my eye. Does anyone know how to get rid of it?

Why is my eye irritated by my contact lense?
Only one eye is irritated. It is red, tears up, and makes both my eyes sensitive to light so i always need to blink. I don't think it's the contact lense because it's clean, ive even used a new one and the other eye is fine. Also, my vision is really, really poor. I've been wearing glasses since 2nd grade and my vision gets a little worse every year. I changed to contacts a year ago just a little background info. The weird thing is the eye that is irritated by my lense began to have more blurry vision than my other eye when i wear my contact lense and glasses, but when i don t have my glasses or contact lenses, it sees better than the other eye. what is going on?

i have an appt for a contact lense exam tomorrow and it costs 140., i have 200...and will have more next week, will they give me a free trail or do i have to wait until i can afford the boxes of contacts?i got a free trial until next week...wow that nyc optician is cheap...140 was the cheapest in my city..

Today at school my contact lense was annoying me so, my mum brought my glasses to school and when i went to take at my right contact lense i couldn't find it so when i got home i checked again seeing if i could take it out, but my eye just went red and started watering, And now im scared that if i go to sleep it will damage my eye or somthing? Contact Lense Question (Please Read)?
I put my contact lenses in yesterday at about 7 30 in the morning. I kept them in all day, then I fell asleep wearing them. I don't have my case or solution I'm at my dads and I plan on wearing them all day today. This is only a one time thing. I usually wear my glasses at my dads, but I forgot them. They are soft contact lenses. Can I keep them in all day today?I heard somewhere that my eyes need oxygen that the contacts don't allow, but they ARE soft contact lenses, sooooo... Will it be fine?Thanks in advance
