What is the preferred multifocal contact lens?
I do not have normal eyesight. I've had cataracts at birth and was given monovision throughout 5 operations. Contact lenses I've read about hard and soft. These can be quite expensive.... though I've seen some that are monthly or even daily disposables. Considering my eyesight, can I find suitable prescription for myself? I like the idea of disposable contacts, and not having to maintain permanant ones. I've read that hard contacts give the clearest vision... but how hard are they? Do they hurt, or make you cry? Can they fall out easily?Glasses Are most multifocal glasses universal or unique? Mine I bought 3 years ago but they're scratched and worn out... I asked this before. but someone asked for a more detailed one, so I post again. All helps appreciated.I'm thinking to get a GEO contact lens. have astigmatic & myopia & I want to buy a pair of GEO lens. So, is it possible for me to wear them normally? GEO lens are just DEGREES only Incase my prescription do a part, here it is.So, here's my prescription SPH 650 for both side. CYL I don't know what's this 100 for both.AXIS Don't know this too x40 for right , x160 for left. My question is just, CAN I WEAR GEO LENS Degrees ONLY NORMALLY? Even though I have astigmatic? What would happen if I keep contact lens in over night?
I forgot my glasses at my moms I'm only staying at my dads over night I got the solution for the contacts . The lens are 2 week wears and they say to take them out during the night. Will it do anything to my eyes for only wearing them in over night?

Eye infection and contact lens?
i got an eye infection on the right eye a week ago. i've been treating my eye with eye drops since then and i'll stop the treatment in three days.and here come's my question. should i wear contact lens on the left eye, the disinfected one in three days that my treatment will stop?
Am i allergic to contact lens?
every time i wear contact lens i see halos around lights after about an hour. my optician said that is corneal swelling due to lack of oxygen and the halos remain even after i take my contacts off and go away after some hours. before that my opthalmologist had said that i have some allergic reaction but since he is no contact lens specialist i was referred to another optician who is contacts lens specialist. he gave me lens with higher gas permiability and higher water content. for first couple of days it was fine but again i had the same problem now he has given me acuvue oasys but i haven't tried this yet. so can this halo thing be because of allergic reaction? i am desperately in need of help. so please HELP
Can I use Visine for contact lens if I don't wear contacts?

Why does my contact lens hurt my right eye?
I've had contact lens for about 5 months now. For the first 2 months everything was okay but around October my eye started to hurt after I had my contact lens in for more than 6 hours this was happening everyday. I tried switching solutions, which helped for about 3 days. I tried not wearing eye makeup which helped for one day. Then I got entirely new lens and the pain stopped for 2 days. I clean my lens everyday. I make sure they're right side out. I know there's never any hairs, fibers, or dirt in them. And this is never in my left eye, just my right. Also I have astigmatism. I don't sleep in my contact lens. I used to have Bausch and Lamb Toric and now I have PureVision. My eyes are asymmetrical.Please help, my mother said that if I have another eye problem I'm not getting contacts again
Pain from contact lens in left eye.?
I'm having a hard time with my contact lenses. At one point when i last used contacts, my left eye would start to bother me. It felt like either something was under the contact or on top of it and when i blinked, i got an annoying scratchy pain. I figured it was the contacts and that it was time to replace them so i threw them out. I just recently got new ones last night and when I woke up this morning and put them in, i got the same pain. It made my left eye amazingly red and it was extremely annoying and slightly painful. I knew I couldn't go for 7 hours of school like that so I just took it out. There was NOTHING on the contact lens, this I made sure of. I tried to take it out, rinse it with contact lens solution, wash my hands, etc. At LEAST 5 times. I'm pretty sure the contact was clean enough to perform surgery with, but for some reason, as soon as I put it in, the pain would return. I'm thinking it might have something to do with my upper eyelid? Because the pain is only when I blink and it's on the upper part of my eye. Any feedback would be much appreciated.Alright thanks I might've scratched it when taking it out... and like I said, I got new ones last night. Is there a tiny piece of my contact lens in my eye?
My right contact lens started irritating me after the first few hours of wearing it. I didn't have any contact solution with me at the time but I did wash my hands and take it off to see if it was a hair or something, and it wasn't. Eventually I got home and took it off and it started hurting more for some reason and I was tearing I was also tearing earlier in the day . It was really bothering me so I used some eye drops. After I felt better, I noticed that I could see very slightly better with my right eye than my left without my contacts glasses on. I'm guessing there's a contact piece stuck in my eye. How do I get it out?
Help with contact lens prescription?
I have recently gotten contacts for the first time and I am trying to order some. My prescription lists the cylinder for my right eye to be 2.00. When I go to order there is no option for 2, only 1.75 and 2.25. Also the axis for both eyes are 092 and 085 but the only options are multiples of 10. Anyone know how would go about getting the correct contacts? And I'm thinking about going with Acuvue Advance for Astigmatism, any opinions on brand?Also, because I can't select specific numbers for contacts, I assume that the contacts will not correct my vision as well as eyeglasses would???
Contact lens OS CYL...?
I am purchasing contact lens online. However one of my eyes have astigmatism.... but on the OS CYL, the options available don't match my prescription.The prescription says OS CYL 1.50, but the purchase choices are only 1.25 and 1.75Is it okay if I randomly choose one of the 2? Or is there one choice that is better than the other?
