I am suffering from central vision loss in my right eye.?
i have had a few tests performed by a retinal specialist. They all came back as my eyes being healthy, but when I try to read text, the left half of the word im focusing onhas a white patch over it. I have had trouble with the peripherial vision tests in both eyes in the bottom left quadrant consistently missing in the same areas. the loss of vision came on suddenly 2 weeks ago and has not improved, it is hard to say if it has gotten worse, my yes have had dilating drops almost everyday this last week. I show no other symptoms. I believe he is going to have a CT scan done soon, to look for a tumor pressing on my optic nerve. I am 25 years old, recently laid off and uninsured. Has anyone else gone through something similar?Like i expected the Dr. Has scheduled me for MRI imaging, he believes i have a Pituitary Gland tumor, putting pressure on my optic nerve. The imaging should help greatly in his diagnosis.

It lasted for about half an hour, but now my vision is fine. I went to the eye doctor actually about two months ago and he said my eyes were perfectly healthy. Could it just be stress or anything else that can be causing temporarily loss o central vision?
Is there a contact lens with minus power for central vision and plus power for peripheral?
I was researching bifocal multifocal contact lenses. It seems like the plus part of the lens is always the center part and the peripheral part of the lens can be of any power from 10.00 to 10.00.So there's no way of getting it the opposite way round with the current brands? ie with add power being applied to the peripheral part Ok I found one website saying 'cooper vision proclear bifocal' does this. Are there any other options? It would appear 'ciba vision air optics ', 'bausch and lomb' and acuvue either have near centers or concentric alternating rings...?10 points for best answer and certification that you are 'The Man'.

I developed Purtscher's retinopathy in October of 2011 due to an unknown systematic disease. My vision has much improved except it's taken about 85 % of my central vision and doctors say it is still healing. I had an allergic reaction to Aphagan and Bromday about 2 months ago and saw strange halo type colors and a halo type cross so I stopped taking those drops and the colors went away. Today, I still have this yellowish cloud in my central vision that isn't there. What is this?The yellowish cloud has been here for about a month and last time I went to the eye dr a month ago my eye pressure was 15 and 17 and my cornea was clear.
Issues with my central vision?
When i am in a dark place. I can only see things through my peripheral vision. But when i look at it it's gone. If I look at my alarm clock in the dark I can't see the numbers, but if i look somewhere else i can see them in the corner of my eyeAre there any things i can do at home to improve my central vision.I do use the computer too much.

He was diagnosed with Battens Dusease has no other symptoms and a neurologist has stated that he does not have Battens. Is there any treatment out there that will correct central vision?
My peripheral vision is better than my central vision in the dark.?
Well, I have dark brown eyes.If I'm in a dark room, if there's a slight, slight light, I can see it if I don't focus on it directly but the moment I look at it directly I don't see it. What could be the reason. It only happens in the dark, otherwise I suffer from myopia. With glasses on my vision is perfect. I'm only 15 and I don't have warped central vision.
My son has been left with blue images in his central vision ?
My son noticed that he had a problem with his vision after a drive in the car one summers day. He said that he looked out of the car window and when he looked back inside he noticed he had a problem. His vision became worse to the extent he couldn't recognize peoples faces and had to use special equipment at school. After many tests including lumber punctures and other tests including M.R.I. scans specialist failed to come up with a diagnosis. Luckily his vision has improved over the year and no longer needs visual aids. But he has been left with blue images in his central vision. Just wondering if any one else has had a similar condition to this or does anyone have any more information on this condition of what it could be.Thanks, Jason...
Blind spot in my central vision?
Okay so about 2 years ago I first noticed I had an eye problem. I was outside in the dark and then I walked into a big, bright grocery store and I realized that my right eye was messed up, I did not really know what was wrong at the time but later on I measured it against my other eye and realized that my right eye seemed to be seeing things smaller than my left eye, so they did not work well together. I saw an eye doctor and she could not find anything wrong, but briefly suggested I see a retinal specialist, however she did not make it sound urgent, so I did not go. As the next couple of years went by my eyes adjusted and I basically forgot about the problem, however, about 5 days ago, I woke up and realized suddenly my eye was much worse. I have a large blind spot in my right eye. I can pretty much see colors through it it is not a black spot but I cannot make out any detail at all. I happened to have a regular doctors appointment that day and they referred me to an opthamologist. I am 19 years old and my other eye is fine. Any ideas?
Vibrations in the peripheral or central vision...why?
I've noticed since about a few weeks ago, on and off I see my vision shimmering or vibrating or sometimes I see tiny floating lights. It isn't constant or all the time. It started out in my peripheral vision, now it's central. Sometimes it happens when I put a tiny pressure on one eye or if I close my eyes for awhile and re open them or blink, etc. It usually happens at night. also I stay up very late into the light, spending hours staring at a computer screen. that's one idea on it,... I haven't gotten my eyes checked but I also notice I can't read as well from far distances near sighted but that's been around for a year or two.
Vision becomes foggy when reading text (central vision fogginess?)?
Just noticed it today. I am reading outside under a well shaded area and this white mist the size of a penny hazes over my black and white text... I try to blink it off but it didn't work. It happened again 3 hours later while reading black and white text on the computer screen.. I wear glasses, I am near sighted, I'm practically blind without my glasses. I'm a 20 400 OU. I also have essential hypertension but control it with medicine. I have high intraocular pressure. Last eye exam was this year in August. I try to clean my glasses but it's still there... Fogginess in central vision.what could it be?
