Are there fake contact lenses for cataract eyes?
I'm wondering if there is such a thing as a fake contact lens that has a fake iris on it that looks realistic, something that could be used for a cataract patient? I know there are contacts that one can use to change their eye color, but I think they only filter the light or something. I am talking about something for blind cataract eyes that only displays an iris so they can look normal. Is there such a thing?Sorry you are right, I don't mean cataract, I mean the condition that makes the eyes all white.

I am only 26 with very bad eye vision loss. I went to a lasik consaultant and unfortunately i am not a canadaite due to how extreme my eye vision is so they refered me to a another option which is cataract eye surgury. I know OHIP cover cataract if you have cataract eye desease, but what if it was due to vision loss. I tried googling all over the place and i cant seem to find the answer.Yes it is a lens implant. My vision is sitting at 14 and 13 as of two years ago. I am only 26. Hence my vision is bad and if i were to ever lose my contacts or glasses, i wouldnt be able to see.

Just had one the right. The eye is brilliant, but now seems to be working against the other left eye, which was the dominant eye and now is not. Eye surgeon says need to even it up so the other eye is the same. With Macular Degeneration and Glaucoma which is controlled in both age 78 is this worth it do you think? Must admit the right eye now does not even need glasses, but the brain seems to be having a problem coming to terms with the fact that now the right eye is dominant, and the left eye is now the weakest, which also has a cataract. Do I pay the money and have the second done, or will my brain adjust to this change. Is this just a ploy to get another $2000 out of me. No insurance, on a pension. Wife says go for it, as the right eye is just so good. Answers please from anyone who has been down this track would be very much appreciated.
